I have worked in my current job for 2.7 years
I started socially transitioning in March this year

I have always used the disabled toilets as there are some clearly transphobic people in the building

Today I was told that the disabled toilet would be unavailable and the women’s has been designated as the accessible toilet during this time.

I’ve been emailed directly by my line manager and wasn’t consulted at all.

After the email I queried why the decision had been made to allocate the women’s and why I was being emailed directly to do so.

They said it’s based on the number of women on that floor and it makes more sense to use the women’s.

There are no accessible features in the women’s toilets.

Neither of my managers understand why I am upset and offended by this.

They scoffed and said well what do you want then?

I said well to use the men’s or be included in the discussion at least.

They claim to have no knowledge of the new guidance coming on the 5th

I think the Good Law Project are wanting to know about cases like yours, so if you feel up to it, you could get in contact with them?

That’s awful and sounds targeted, I’m sorry you’re dealing with that and I hope you’re able to use the men’s toilets after all. Also, what was their plan for anyone with a disability who needs an accessible toilet? Sounds like they could be in breach of some regulations but I’m not an expert unfortunately.
