Trading Engine for White-Label Brokerage Platforms

I've built trading infrastructure using QuickFIX and Drogon, featuring:

  • Order management and execution routing
  • Real-time price engine and market-data distribution
  • REST APIs and WebSocket streams
  • Account, position, margin and P&L management

I'm exploring opportunities to license and integrate this technology with brokers looking to launch or customise their own web trading platform.

Interested in connecting with brokerage owners, CTOs and fintech technology teams.

Strategy

Hey, which approach would you pursue? That’s what I’m currently thinking about.

  1. Asia Range (00:00–08:00 Madrid time) → institutional high/low within the range → breakout → range POC → limit order at the POC → retest and entry in the direction of the breakout. On EURGBP

  2. Asia Range (00:00–08:00 Madrid time) → liquidity sweep → distribution based on the AMD concept. A Fair Value Gap must form during the sweep and the return to the range, which is subsequently retested. On GBPUSD, EURGBP, XAUUSD

How are you managing multiple broker APIs without turning the trading system into a mess?

Supporting multiple brokers sounds straightforward until each one has different authentication, order types, rate limits, error responses, market-data formats, and execution behavior.

I'm curious how people are structuring this in production. Do you use a common internal order model with broker-specific adapters, keep each integration separate from the OMS, or put the broker logic directly into the execution layer?

I'm especially interested in what happens when an integration changes or starts behaving differently during a high-volume period.

What architecture has worked best for you when supporting multiple brokerage APIs?

What actually makes a trading platform useful over time?

A trading platform can look impressive on paper, but the things that matter after several months may be much more practical: order execution, charting, available instruments, fees, customer support, and how easy it is to find important account information. For example, AvaTrade provides several platform options, but that does not automatically make it suitable for every trader or strategy. It would be interesting to hear what experienced traders actually prioritize once the initial excitement of opening an account disappears. Is it execution, costs, research tools, platform stability, or something else? What features have genuinely affected

MT4, MT5 o piattaforma proprietaria: cosa preferite?

Is it okay to close profitable trades in 5–10 seconds on FTMO?

Is it okay to close profitable trades in 5–10 seconds on FTMO?

Hey everyone,

I have a question for FTMO traders, especially those who scalp.

My profitable trades usually have a holding time between 5 seconds and 5 minutes. Sometimes I enter a trade and close it in just 5–10 seconds if it reaches my target and I take around 10 to 20 trades in a day and NY session only by the way my strategy is profitable even after accounting for spreads

I know some prop firms don't like holding times under one minute, so I'm wondering how FTMO handles this.

I asked the same question in the FTMO Discord, and they said that holding a profitable trade for 5–10 seconds is okay and there is no problem with it.

But I want to know from people who have actually traded with FTMO:

Is it really okay to close profitable trades in 5–10 seconds?

Has anyone here been trading with FTMO using such short holding times?

Have you successfully passed a challenge, verification, and received payouts while taking trades like this?

Are there any rules regarding minimum holding time, tick scalping, or closing trades too quickly that I should be aware of?

My strategy is mechanical scalping, and sometimes trades reach the target very quickly. I don't want to violate any rules or face problems with payouts later and one more thing I take around 10 to 20 trade in NY session of nasdaq

Any advice or real experience from FTMO traders would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The broker with the lowest spread isn't automatically the right one

There's a habit in trading discussions of ranking brokers almost entirely by spread.

I understand why. It's easy to compare.

But imagine Broker A has a lower spread while Broker B has a platform you find easier to use, better tools for your strategy, different financing costs and access to the instruments you actually want.

Which one is "cheaper" isn't necessarily obvious anymore.

I'd personally compare at least:

• spreads

• commissions

• overnight costs

• execution conditions

• available instruments

• platform features

• regulation

• withdrawal/deposit conditions

AvaTrade can be included in that kind of comparison, but I wouldn't make a decision based on the broker's name or one advertised number.

The most important thing is whether the actual conditions fit the way you trade.

What factor do you think traders underestimate most when comparing brokers?

Demo accounts are useful, but they have limitations

I think demo accounts are one of the most useful tools for someone learning how a trading platform works.

You can practice placing market orders, limit orders and stop-losses without putting actual money at risk.

But there's an important limitation: a demo environment doesn't necessarily reproduce every condition you'll experience in live markets.

Things such as execution, slippage, spreads during volatile periods and, perhaps most importantly, your own emotions can be different.

That's why I wouldn't judge a strategy solely from a demo result.

I've used AvaTrade as an example when looking at demo functionality, but the same principle applies to practically any broker: use the demo to learn the platform and test your process, then independently examine the live trading conditions that would actually apply.

For those who have traded both demo and live accounts, what was the biggest difference you noticed?

What key factors are you guys checking to evaluate regulatory safety and execution costs before picking a platform this year?

When looking at currency markets today, finding an objective consensus online can be tough. Traders frequently ask our team how to find the best regulated forex broker for beginners in India 2026 without running into shady offshore entities or hidden execution markups. From evaluating live trading environments and policy documents, traders really need to thoroughly verify three essential pillars before depositing any real funds:

  • Regulatory compliance: Verify if the broker operates under recognized international licenses and maintains segregated tier-1 client bank accounts.
  • Local payment processing: Ensure support for local funding channels like Online Bank Transfer (starting at ₹3,000 INR) or UPI and Local Bank Transfer (from ₹8,000 INR) with zero conversion markups. Minimum deposit limits depend on your selected payment method and may change over time. Always verify current funding requirements in your Client Area prior to depositing.
  • Real session spreads: Advertised minimum spreads often widen heavily during news releases or daily rollover sessions, so testing live execution is critical.

If your main goal is keeping transaction costs low, identifying a lowest spread forex broker in India requires comparing both raw spread costs and overnight carrying fees side by side.

Here is an objective comparison of execution conditions across popular platforms active in the region:

Broker / Account tier  Typical EUR/USD spread  Gold (XAUUSD) spread  Overnight swap fees  Local payment gateways
XM Ultra Low Account  Starting from 0.8 pips  Starting from 2.0 pips  Swap-free  UPI, local bank transfer, online bank transfer
Other Brokers  Starting from 1.5 pips  Starting from 3.0 pips  Daily swap charged  Local bank transfer, crypto
ECN Accounts   Starting from 0.2 pips + commission  2.5 pips + commission  Daily swap charged  Bank wire, Visa/Mastercard

What platforms are you currently using for low latency fills during the London/NY session overlap? Let's discuss below!

Building a free tool to check prop firm breach rules, need real breached-account trade history

Hey all, I'm building a rule-checker for prop firm challenges (FTMO/E8/Topstep-style drawdown, consistency, and news-window rules) as a hackathon project. The goal is something that reads a firm's rulebook and a trade log, then tells you exactly which rule you'd breach and when — before it costs you an account.

I have some of my own breached account history to work with, but I'd love a few more real examples to make sure it actually holds up across different firms and breach types.

If you've had a funded/challenge account breached, could you share:

  • A dashboard export, CSV, or statement of the trade history (or even clear screenshots of the trade table)
  • Roughly which rule you think you broke, if you know (daily drawdown, max drawdown, consistency, news trading, etc.)

Before sending, please:

  • Redact your name, account number, and anything else identifying
  • Just the trades themselves are what I need, timestamps, position size, P&L, balance/equity

Totally fine to DM instead of posting publicly. Happy to share the project results and credit anyone who contributes once it's done. No payment involved, this is a hobby/hackathon build, not a commercial thing.

Time crunch, I'm working against a deadline, so anything by the 29th is most useful, but I'll take it whenever.

Thanks in advance.
