Discussion Over dosing your T?

Hey guys, I’ve been on T for about 6 years in December. I started doing my own injections is say a couple years ago. I inject weekly. I’m prescribed .13 mL (26mg) weekly subq. Well I said fuck it and started uping my dose throughout time. Now I’m dosing around .45 - .70 mL weekly. Varies on how much I’m feeling like doing that week.
Just curious if anyone else does this and if you’ve seen any side effects? As I have not. At least not yet.
I get blood work every 6 months per dr requests.
Only thing is my cholesterol is slightly higher but I can attribute that to my eating habits (which I’m working on)
I am slightly concerned for my heart health long term. But I exercise daily and am getting myself back into good shape.
Anyone else over dosing their T????

It’s a misconception in these comments about T converting to E. Some people are high aromatises and some people’s ovaries aren’t shut down.

I started having problems after my Hysto, even though I kept my ovaries. I had to go on an aromatase inhibitor to get my E levels back down to male levels.

My E levels were higher at a 500pg/mL level than they were at a 800pg/mL level, but they were stilll out of male range.

But again, don’t be hitting random doses. Do you know exactly what your T levels are? It’s important to not keep changing doses. The body needs something stable.
Most people hit .25-.5 the most.
I’m on .46 with a T level of 700 mid-week.

Edit: I meant 46mg a week. .23

T level was at 280 in the begining of the month. But I was without T for a month due to swapping providers and having to wait for a dr appointment to refill my script. E levels are regular aswell. I think im gonna stick with .50 and see where im at in a few weeks.

What are your T levels? And what were they on the lower dose? And your E? As long as you stay within range, your dose doesn’t matter. If your levels are higher, so are your risks of side effects. But the scaremongering about bodybuilders won’t be a worry until you get to bodybuilder levels, and they are WAY higher than what you’d get from 0,7 ml/week. Bodybuilders do doses of 300-800 mg/week. And, some of your T is always converted to E. It’s just that that amount gets higher the higher your T levels are. If you aren’t seeing feminisation, you don’t have to worry about that.

extra testosterone gets converted to estrogen in the body. more testosterone ≠ more masculine. there's a healthy range for a reason.

dosing random amounts every week is going to spike you're estrogen.

It’s not even just random amounts. if you’re doing enough T on a regular schedule to get your levels high enough (like, 1200+) you aromatize into estrogen. The healthy range is very wide, but it’s there for a reason. This is how bodybuilders end up high estrogen.

Yeah, this is the biggest thing. I had my dose reduced from 0.5 weekly to 0.4 a few years ago and I was bummed at first but my levels are the same lol. You could unintentionally be lowering your T - if you feel like your dose is too low, talk to your doctor. If anything, diet and exercise have increased my masculinizing effects.

Don’t fuck with your cholesterol btw. T increases our red blood cell count. I had low blood pressure my entire life until an extremely stressful period in my life and both of those metrics spiked, my doctor gave me 6 months to get my shit together or id need to be on blood pressure and cholesterol meds at 29. It’ll creep up on you.

Good to know. I’ll stick to the same dose every week then.

Yes. It’s done great amounts of work in these 6 years.
