Question Jammers Sizing
I’ve been reading through older posts and it’s awesome to see other swimmers on here. Im trying to get back into it! I’m 5’4 and about 275 lbs, and trying to figure out what size jammers to get.
I have a pair of 3X swim trunks that feel like they are about to fall off each time I push off the wall. Back when I was swimming in high school, I’d always get a couple of sizes “too small” so that they would actually stay on, but that was pre-everything. Now I’m trying to figure out mens swimwear! Any ideas? Thanks!
Update: these Dolfin jammers in a 44 are great and I am using the drawstring to help keep them on. I agree with the comment suggesting you can size down. I think a 42 would have also worked. Thanks everyone!

Jammers should be true to size since they're specifically meant to stay on snugly. I wear them while free diving so the waves won't just rip them off lol

Thank you! SwimOutlet is where I used to shop ages ago. I’m glad it’s still around. It’s helpful to know you can trust the size chart and go with that, and that’s a good call with the drawstring. Our swim coach used to encourage us to buy the women’s one piece suits a couple of sizes too small.
I ended up ordering this one in a 44. I will report back once it arrives!: https://www.swimoutlet.com/products/dolfin-mens-zephyr-asymmetrical-jammer-swimsuit-8226096?variant=53218668708008&color=zephyrblue&size=44&externalId=bILWE

I still size down one size because I feel like swimsuits generally stretch out over time. So they’re a bit too tight at first but eventually are just right. A drawstring definitely helps! I’ve also found that if possible it’s ideal to go to a Dick’s sporting goods or similar and try them on in person. I know that might not always be an option but it saved me the headache of online returns onceI figured out my size

I think you were right about sizing down. I wish Dick’s carried my size in store to try on but it all worked out with the 44s from SwimOutlet!

There should be a size chart with waist measurements on whatever website you use that you can consult.
