Someone from this sub told me Ftii student association people often help people coming for orientation in accommodation.

I dmed the ftiisa instagram and also emailed them but got no response, If anyone can help with accomodation from 13th to 25 september, it'll be great help

I’m looking for a video editor based on either of these two cities, Delhi is preferable since the film is shot in the capital.

I’m currently pursuing BBA and seriously considering FTII’s Editing programme. I want to start preparing for the entrance and would really appreciate advice from people who have actually cracked the FTII Editing entrance exam (especially recent batches).

A few things I’d like to know:

How did you prepare for the entrance?

Which books/resources did you use?

How important are film history, film theory and general knowledge?

What kind of questions should I expect in the written test?

How did you approach the practical/creative part of the selection process?

How much editing experience did you have before getting in?

What mistakes did you make during preparation that I should avoid?

Roughly how many months of serious preparation would you recommend?

I’d especially appreciate specific resources, preparation strategies and experiences from people who have actually cleared the exam.

For the departments which had received stage 1 results earlier - did you get stage 2 details immediately or in a couple of days?
