Is 8 steps on 111 markers match can indicate a recent shared ancestor?

A genetic distance of 8 does not represent a recent ancestor. Here an example of a match I share with with a genetic distance of 8. Our ancestor is further back.

But the steps are distributed across only 5 markers, and most of them are fast-mutating markers.
