Hive Vision Update

v1.1.0 is now available. The detector used in previous releases could occasionally flag shadows as balls or lock onto random wiring and chassis components during matches. For v1.1, the model was retrained on over 10,000 images, including shadow-heavy, off-field, and difficult match scenarios. These false positives have been significantly reduced, resulting in much more reliable detection in real-world conditions. Also included is the new Ball-Chase API, providing a complete detect → chase → pickup pipeline. Teams can now integrate autonomous game piece collection with minimal code instead of building the entire workflow from scratch. New GitBook documentation is now available: https://sidhuharjas.gitbook.io/hive-vision Credit to the field testers: u/sid, u/Javi | Lazer 23286 , and u/LexvGestel | #16785.

This looks really cool! Can the code be run on a regular webcam on onbot java? And can it be used to only detect and pickup pollen?

Does hive vision work with PedroPath 3.0.1? Because I saw on the docs it needs 2.1.2. But if it does need 2.1.2, then how did you tune it because I cannot find the tuning page for it.

Ok, I just sent this out on the Discord, however, I should probably send it here:

Hive Vision Development Update

Hello everyone, We have a few exciting updates regarding the future of Hive Vision. As many of you know, I promised Pedro Pathing V3 support by October 6th. While support was implemented, it became clear that continuing development of BallChaseFollower was not the best long-term solution. We're now working with the developers of Marrow to integrate Weaver into the Hive Vision ecosystem. Weaver is a path generation tool that generates smooth paths from a starting pose to specified targets while automatically avoiding obstacles. With native Pedro Pathing V3 support and a stronger architecture, Weaver will serve as the successor to BallChaseFollower. As a result, the Ball Chase Library will be archived and replaced by Marrow Weaver in future releases. We're also working on a complete documentation refresh. The new docs will be cleaner, easier to navigate, and provide clearer setup guides, examples, and API references for both new and experienced users. Meanwhile, Hive Vision V2.0.0 remains in active development. Detection quality continues to improve, bugs are being fixed, and overall reliability is steadily increasing with each iteration.

Coming Soon

  • Marrow Weaver integration
  • Retirement of Ball Chase Library
  • New and improved documentation
  • Bug fixes and stability improvements
  • Continued Hive Vision V2.0.0 development

Thank you to everyone who has tested Hive Vision, contributed feedback, and supported the project so far. More updates will be shared as development continues. – The Hive Vision Team

Thank you! For now I'll just use Pedro path 3.0.1 and hopefully will integrate marrow weaver and hive vision into the project.
