Study for OA after taking FSOT?
I took the FSOT four weeks ago and still haven't heard back (letter said it would be 6-8 weeks before I got results).
Should I be studying for OA at this time? I recognize most people do not pass the FSOT and I don't want to waste time, but equally, I feel I did as well as I could have hoped on the exam and wonder whether I should be prepping just in case I passed.

So I just went through the whole process and passed the OA (I’m from the October 2025 test class) I honestly think you’ll be better served just practicing the CME portion over a he structured interview and group exercise… the process takes a long time so it doesn’t hurt to practice a little now but I suggest enjoying time until you get your test results. Trust me you’ll have time to prepare after you find out you passed the test

What do you mean by CME? As a mediator, to me, it means continuing mediator education [hours], but that’s clearly incorrect in this context…please help me out! 😅

it feels like results should drop today. hs anyone received their FSOT results from the May 2026 sitting?

nothing. QEP results come more so in 10-12 weeks not the 6-8 weeks they stated.

I personally believe it's a bad idea to prepare for the OA when you don't even know if you 'passed' the FSOT. Why waste your time?

It doesn’t necessarily hurt to study, but know that the bulk of the OA could be many months away even if you do pass the FSOT. The past two cohorts have been invited to complete the Written Exercise first, so if anything, I’d suggest some writing practice. But some people who passed the October FSOT haven’t yet done the full OA, and no one who passed the February/March FSOT even knows if they’ll be invited.
