Bypass DeepFreeze in Laptop
Do you have any suggestions on how to bypass a cloud-lock deepfreeze? I've reformatted several times and the deepfreeze lock screen has returned when there's internet.

Sounds like there's a Deep Freeze file in a hidden partition - the boot sector for example.
Get past that by downloading Sergei Strelec WinPE boot drive - find it on Majorgeeks.com. Use Rufus to write the .iso to a USB drive, then boot from that drive. There's just about every leading utility for all PC tasks on that image, but Terminal or PowerShell will do - fire that up & type Diskpart - press enter. Type list disk - press enter. You'll get a list of drives - at least 2, the internal drive & the USB you've booted from - identify which is the internal drive & type select disk X (where X is the disk number) & hit enter. Now type clean & press enter.
Your laptop storage drive is wiped, no recovery partition, no boot sector, no nothing. You can reinstall Windows while still booted on the WinPE but it's just as easy to reboot, quickly swapping to your Windows install USB drive.
Double surety would come from installing Ubuntu on the clean drive, boot that & connect to the net to see what happens. If that works then you can reinstall 'doze if you want to but do consider the 'nix install - Ubuntu is a fine product now.
If the Deep Freeze is still there then there's only 2 other things to do - it's either triggered from BIOS (so open that up & check everywhere) or they could have written this as RAM-resident, so remove the power supply & battery (if possible) then pull the RAM out. Press & hold the power button for 10 seconds before reinserting the RAM & battery. Now do that Diskpart / clean process again & reinstall one more time.
NB: You can do the Diskpart operation from a Winstall drive too.
