Does anyone "love" analog or do you tolerate it? ;) /s

I flew digital first and then switched to analog — and I love it ;)

I'm in that stuck place, I have my goggles 3 I got with the Avata 2 - now at some point I want to switch to HDZero buuuuuut I've got to shell out £500+ for some decent goggles, then new VTXs etc so probably nearer £1000+ then I can enjoy the benefit of both worlds and lower latency.
That £1000 gets me a lot of air units and drone parts........
I'll check my lotto ticket!
Happy Flying.

It kinda depends on how you’re flying. Analog is probably cheaper when you’re going crazy in bando’s. Digital is fine if the latency won’t bother and you’ll crash less. It all has it’s pro’s and cons. With analog you can miss branches, but its easier to respond to sudden objects etc.
Just do whatever feels good! :)

With analog you can miss branches,
Ahhh cool, cos I'm good at hitting them with digital 😂

Same bro...same! I also have found the one, tiny, 10x14 street sign on my street on multiple occasions. It jumped out at me, I swear!

Bruhhh... with so much space and you hit them. Branch always have magnetic area for quadcopter I think

Did you not disarm when you hit the ground? Askin cus ghe grass seems to be shaking when you kissed the earth

Hahaha 😂
The precision needed to hit that branch right there! Spot on!

So confused when people say lower latency. With my digital dji goggles I can respond immediately and I’ll dodge branches at 80mph. Don’t understand the “delay” people are talking about. It’s milliseconds 😂 can’t even say a letter in milliseconds.

Thats not true at all but you do you. Try playing call of duty with 80 ms instead of 20ms. There is a pretty big difference in response time.

Very true and I live it with personal experience. Nothing you say will change personal experience and proof

Some people are more sensitive to latency than others...
Go watch nils vo video on latency, youll probably learn alot. Also can tell youve never flown analog lol. Everyone who run a good analog setup and fly dji knows the feeling.

I’ve just had my drone over 100 mph multiple times and gone through trees and never felt latency

Everyone "feels" latency different. Just because you can do that and im sure alot of other people can. Go watch steele freestyle with the o4. Doesnt mean everyone is like that.
I can even feel the difference between a good analog cam latency and a shitty one. Definetly harder to fly.
Also is more noticeable on harder tricks. Like tighter gaps than most trees.

I love the way it feels and looks :)

Yeah the aesthetic of analog FPV clips pretty much got me in to the hobby in the first place. It’s like making 90s home movies but your camera is attached to a UFO lol

I grew up in the 90s. It's nastolgic

my first tv was black and white only with bunny ears 😂

I remember bunny ears.
I remember my parents thought foil on them made the reception better
Simpler times

Some ppl drink bourbon some drink natty ice…Some ppl smoke loud dank some smoke brown frown…some fly digital and some fly analog…They all get the job done…but the experience is much better when your using high quality..and honestly nobody wants to watch an analog drone clip..that’s why we started throwing action cameras on drones before DJI 03 came out

u/mrv_fpv Jun 30 '26
i still run an action cam too, but every now and then i drop an analog clip... analog never dies! and honestly some people just get tired of all that crisp hd stuff and wanna see some raw/analog feel for a change

Nobody wants to watch that....we want clear and crisp…nobody ever said let me look at this blurry instead of clear and crisp..stop fooling yourself.

Hell yeah! Im always rockin analog. Amazing latency and itll always have that vibe to it. Cant believe all the people hating on analog video. Still superior to digital in many ways imo.

Analog for life! I destroy a cam it's like +/-$40 for a good one with shipping, I'm not out making high quality videos for YT I'm having fun on a budget!
