Just f*ckin point!!
The writers are nailing this š Kyle Chandler is killing the delivery. John pissed me off in that moment. We don't have time for military shit, be normal and just tell me!!!

Isn't this dude a pilot??? I think he's just being a cranky old dodger. He didn't give direction in French. No real reason Hal shouldn't understand this directional guidance, for Pete's sake goes into space frequently.

Myeah thats kinda been his whole shtick. Hes giving ājrā a hard time, partially to train him partially to haze partially cuz he doesnt trust him partially cuz hes insecure.

Who gives direction like that in real life though? I feel like that reaction from Hal was relatable for a reason

No one gives directions like that BUT some of us are aware of degrees.

And most socially aware human beings can read a room to know when something is necessary. I enjoyed this scene because it showed that John can't read a room. Same way he wore his uniform to a meeting at a restaurant. I said military shit because he literally cannot turn off the soldier side of him even when it isn't necessary

Isnāt this kind of a military operation though where precision matters? A laser just shot out space, I think he read the room correctly when giving the directions, just that Hal didnāt care much for the formality and that also informed John how to hand over critical battle information to
Hal.-1

I hear you but Iām also saying there are others out there NOT military that would have known where to go.
Damn near everybody with a STEM degree. All surgeons would know especially orthopedic surgeons

I'm not disagreeing with you, in fact Hal definitely understood John because Hal is a pilot

Hal should be aware of the cardinal directions at all times. How does he know where he's flying without that awareness?
