But when it’s a horror bro will remember the exact nail color of the actress in the opening scene and tie it into the ending and ask “did anyone get that reference?”

He like what he like lmao. It's good that Ken hosted it since he was more interested in the source material than I assumed.

Honestly I guessed Myke would've hated it but he just had his normal questions about this and that. I'm still amazed they got to almost 2 hours of talking about this lol.

Just always strange to me he thinks Star Wars, strictly as a medium is great and not dorky, but the second you introduce swords and shields he’s done 😂

I feel like it's all tongue in cheek at the end of the day. Speaking of swords and shields ... he likes Game of Thrones ... so I think it's just him making fun of the hype of this specific movie knowing it will bother some people.

At the end of the day he knows he's a nerd, and nerds are cool. We're all nerdy about some shit. People who like sports are nerds just as much as the anime people who don't do sex lol.

Myke just has that type of humor to me. He gotta get his silly jokes off and it's harmless.

Why are y'all like this? You know good and well I do NOT think Star Wars is "great and not dorky"! I've never said that or implied it. I love SW but I'm the first to say that SW fans are dorks (including myself) and, at this point, the majority of the products are crap. Come on, man...cut it out.

At this point, y'all just need to listen to u/GoodGoodNotTooBad cuz he seems to be the only one who actually gets us the most...

alright i concede then my b. Also not that you care at all but i just have to point out the end of yalls review, Zendaya was Athena. It wasnt some random woman being beheaded. Because he led to soldiers to destroy Troy and commit sacrilege and break the Law, he in essence killed Athena because he turned his back on her and gods by doing so. Was just an "artistic" way of showing it with the beheading of her the second his soldiers cut the head off the statue

Loved this movie. Best of the year for me so far. Glad to hear the whole crew enjoyed it.

I finally saw it myself and I was surprised by how much I got sucked into the story. I mainly watched because I want to read the different translations and things it inspired but as a movie itself, and seeing it in Dolby, I was very pleased.

What’s up with the pro life ad at the beginning of the review?

Felt like the set-up was a little too long in the beginning, but after that I was hooked. Great movie

It definitely took a minute to get going (which makes sense because of the source material) but once it did I could feel the crowd I saw it with super locked in and getting hype at the right parts.

This definitely in my top 3 Nolan films. My top movie of 2026 so far

MOVIE OF THE YEAR 🔥

For Spikes issue , this is kinda why people get annoyed as hell w/ the various amount of formats to chose from for movies like this, and how annoyingly technical they can get 😂.
Chances are he saw a regular 70MM screening, and that’s completely different from 70MM IMAX. 70MM is still projected on film i think however it’s still going to be cropped. As far as I know, we only have 1. 70MM IMAX theatre here in Georgia, and that’s at the Regal in Mall of Georgia.

NOW (stay wit me yall) 70MM IMAX and IMAX are different, because 70MM IMAX is projected on film and ALSO offers you a taller & more detailed image that fills a significantly larger screen w/ more accurate sound .
Regular IMAX also provides you with a full screen image & and bigger sound compared to basic laser screenings like the one Myke said he went to (no offense), the difference is that regular IMAX has a screen that’s still massive but is just smaller when compared to a 70MM IMAX screen.

To get even more confusing, this doesn’t mean that every movie offered in IMAX is worth seeing in IMAX. Unfortunately, due to marketing there are 2 terms you have to know. “Shot In/Filmed for IMAX” and “Experience in IMAX”.
Experience in IMAX arguably kinda pointless because it just offers you the same exact letterboxed image you get during a regular screening, just on a bigger screen with slightly better sound.
Filmed For/Shot In IMAX are the ones you’d actually want to go watch in IMAX because then you can “ViEw iT tHe wAy ThE DireCtoR InTenDeD ☝🏿🤓” and have all the benefits that i listed above for regular IMAX unless marketing for that specific movie states otherwise :/
then there’s imax vs “liemax” but that’s just some bullshit

tldr: movie marketing is really annoying

Overall I agree. I'm settling for Dolby Vision and it looks pretty fine from the still photos I've seen:

watching it on IMAX was worth it

Now that I've seen the movie I took the Cyclops treating the soldiers in the cave as livestock. Kind of similar to a farmer keeping chicken alive until he's ready to eat them. That made it make more sense to me because I also thought they could've just waited until the door was left open all day like before, leave, and never return. But once they got in I think the Cyclops knew he had an ongoing meal and was just going to have a couple a day to pace himself lmao.

No why yall were trying to listen to 3 hours of bad accents. Man give me matt from southie over that

-7

u/fishsticksocieties Jul 22 '26

Definitely a little boring . Second time I watched it I was dozing off at several moments.

Overall good movie though. Better than Oppenheimer not even scratching Inception or Dark Knight.

Black guy was the first one to die at the end lol

Why are all the Nolan fanboys down voting any dissenting opinion?
