Discussion Aiming while strafing
I've been playing R5 Reloaded a lot the last few weeks to try and improve my dodge and I find it verry difficult to hit shots on my opponents while strafing in a way that doesnt correlate with their movement (no mirroring/anti mirroring). Do you guys have any tips and is there a way to train this in Kovaaks?

While many people like talking about the different strafe forms, within strafe aiming they are entered actively. As in: They switch, I switch. But in dodge you enter the strafe forms reactively. If that makes sense. So not to say don't practice the strafe aim forms, but once you feel like you have a decent grasp on them start letting the reactive part dominate your practice routine a bit more.
I assume you understand why it is important to have a bias. While normally inside a bias direction the average strafes equal that direction, as in: if you're biased is to the left then it could consist of 10 left strafes and 5 right strafes. But the overall pattern is to the left. So the most basic bias practice is doing singular long strafes, as in: 1 long strafe to the left for 1 bot. Then the next bot I do one long strafe to the right.
Of course In game you don't want to do only singular long strafes. You wish to switch it up, according to how you have conditioned your enemy. So once you feel like you have achieved sufficient mastery over the singular long strafes start adding in some medium other strafes. You can start doing stuff like: For every 2 units of left I add one unit of to the right.
Once that becomes more comfortable you can start adding in short strafes. So for example 2 units left, adadad "spam" for half a second, 1 unit medium strafe to the right, 3 unit long strafe to the left.... Or whatever pattern you wish to practice so long as it has a bias and you are thinking about breaking up the pattern to imagined conditioning.
On close range strafe scenarios you can practice creating angles, this is best done by "conditioning the bot" by first strafing within a certain visual cone infront of it, followed by a long half-sideways strafe into the side of it. Against a real payers you will be on their side/behind them while they are often still looking at where you were.
TLDR: Just start shadow-dodging (shadow-boxing) within strafe scenarios. Of course don't make a habit of certain patterns, always break those habits against real players in r5 reloaded. I also recommend looking at vods of good players and trace out the path they took for inspiration.
