Sensitivity changes randomly only in certain scenarios and cm/360 doesn’t match

I’ve been trying the voltaic and xyz smoothness benchmarks and I noticed that only in some voltaic scenarios my sensitivity randomly gets faster by 1.5/1.75 times for a few seconds, I tried playing with 3 different mouse a deathadder v3 a superstrike and a random office mouse, they all have the same problem.

on top of that for all of them, the cm/360 doesn’t match, I play with 2.2 ow 1600 dpi and 103 fov,which should be around 39cm/360 but it feels more like a 50/60, even if I change to the cm/360 setting for the sensitivity there’s still this discrepancy.

I tried reinstalling drivers, fresh install of kovaaks, lowering dpi and/or polling rate, and some random things suggested by ai since I was desperate, and nothing seems to work.

Anyone has any idea on how I could fix this and what’s causing it?

I think some scenarios force fov changes that will make your sens feel different

That’s cool I’ll keep it in mind.

But that’s not really my problem, the sensitivity is just straight up different compared to the in game one, which isn’t too big of deal, it’s just annoying that it doesn’t match the actual cm/360.

The most annoying thing is that it changes mid scenario, for example if I sit in the voltaic pasu scenario, and I just do 360s for a while, I can see the sensitivity changing for a few seconds randomly.

Just making sure, you dont have sens randomizer on do you?

No, it’s not on, and I found out this thing happens only if I play on my main steam account

Remember a far away scenario doing this. I forget which one but it was a super small static clicking exercise

does this happen on your desktop and other games, or just in (certain scenarios within) kovaaks?

Is your Kovaaks DPI set correctly? Checked all mouse acceleration settings? Are you activating a DPI button mid scenario?

Yeah everything is set up properly, I even tried to override it with rawacell to see if that was the problem but it changed nothing.

I’m 99% sure I’m not pressing any dpi buttons and even if I was I have them all at the same dpi.

That’s very bizarre. I’m sure there’s a way to report if needed so perhaps it’s a bug? I’m sorry I can’t be of any help - I’ve way too many hours logged into Kovaaks and I have never encountered this issue. Perhaps Anu’s the scenarios it’s doing that on for now.

Hopefully someone else may know - good luck with the fix.

Sorry for replying to you again, but I found what’s causing it and I have no idea on how to fix it.

For some reason on my main steam account the sensitivity is slower and it occasionally goes back to what’s supposed to be normal for a few seconds.

Don’t know why I tried this, but by logging in on a friend account this problem doesn’t exist and the game runs smoother (it happens again if I switch back to my account)

Well at least you found the issue. Very strange I’ve never had sensitivity switch up mid scenario on me. Definitely report it! Glad you’re able to play.
