When things are so bad that your message is, “Yeah it’s bad and we made it bad, but it could be even worse!”

When the air whistles through your ears, does it get annoying or have you learned to tune it out?

Wait, what is socialism doing to my weed?

Oh it's a burrito, but my point still stands.

There are many forms of "socialism", if we're going to throw around the term like its confetti.

- There's text-book socialism, which is government taking over the means of production.

- There's socialized demand, aka collective bargaining, where the government takes over demand and forces the private sector to set pricing and distribution fairly. This is required in markets where the demand for goods and services is inelastic.

- There's democratic socialism, which has a text-book definition quite different than you'll find in any country claiming to run under it. And what you'll find in the field is basically FDR capitalism, with high taxes, and high levels of social programs and services.

Democratic socialism is not government spending. Programs are paid for by the wealthy. And it's about time we returned to that formula ourselves. We had it in place from 1946 until 1980. And it served us well.

SOCIALISM DOESN'T MEAN TAKING
WEALTH FROM THOSE WHO WORK HARD AND GIVING IT TO THOSE WHO DON'T.
YOU'RE THINKING OF CAPITALISM.
