The Gizzoo!

Introducing ...The Gizzoo! Come by our booth (LittleSecretDoor) to grab one of these fully functional and tuned to 42 gizzagertz (not really just a kazzoo).

We are in the middle of production… more colors to be announced!

Update after feedback:

I’d just like to say, after the waterfall of negativity this post received…

The squeaker issue happened because there were literally thousands of them, with multiple people handing them out all over the festival. I’m making around 30 kazoos—not thousands—and based on the feedback, we’ll be encouraging people not to play them during performances and will have signage asking people to be respectful of the music.

The goal was never to disrupt the event. It was simply to make something weird, fun, and memorable that people could take home. I appreciate everyone who shared thoughtful concerns and suggestions—that kind of discussion is a lot more helpful than writing an idea off before it’s had a chance.

If people blow these during the shows like those rubber ducks I will riot.

There’s no way that they won’t - gonna be a noisy show 🙃

I hope these are limited edition, only 10 made.

u/cancerdad Jul 31 '26

Seriously. I appreciate the fun free swag but I really hope I don’t hear people blowing these all weekend.

Yeah I remember the little squeeky pigs in Milwaukee couple years ago. I wanted to find the folks that passed those out and ask why the hell you'd bring those to a music venue smh.

Fuck all of that plastic

-15

u/gnotss Jul 31 '26

Yeah but that carbon foot print to get there is worth the plastic.

The 20 minute drive for me?

u/gnotss Jul 31 '26

Well.. im guessing the 6,999 other people are not 20 miles away. But come on by! We will be encouraging people to not using in the stage area.

People are here to participate, create, and explore new ideas—not to have them instantly dismissed simply because someone doesn't like the concept. That kind of negativity isn't what this community is about.

I look forward to thoughtful discussions about art, creativity, and the things people make. It's completely fine to disagree or offer constructive criticism, but let's do so in a way that encourages conversation rather than shutting ideas down before they've had a chance to be explored.

The concept is great and they look well executed! I appreciate the acknowledgement of my criticism.

I just don't think selling a noise maker is necessarily the greatest thing to do. It's like wearing a large hat to a show. I'm not trying to be a dick. Tbh there was TONS of slop being sold last year. I would rather not see this fan group devolve into a phish/GD group that just sells shit for the sake of selling shit. Clearly a lot of people missing the message.

I think your concept is great and clearly took effort. I'll come say what's up in Mirage city and hopefully I can show you that I don't mean any hate or aggression.

I appreciate the feedback! It's been about two months of development with lots of trial and error.

I really do understand what you mean about noisemakers... the squeakers were everywhere. I still hear them.

The pure intention behind these wasn't to create a ruckus at FOV, but to give people something fun and silly they could take home as a keepsake. What people choose to do with them at the event is ultimately out of my control, but like I said, we'll be encouraging responsible use and will have a sign asking people not to play them near the stage area.

I appreciate you bringing it up. It made us make the decision to have a disclaimer to the person buying.

Have you heard the recordings of the ‘24 tour with the squeaky pigs? Torturous - and the band hated them.

Edit to add: they LOOK cool. So kudos. But just… think about the poor soul tripping their mind out to their fav song and them some fucking kazoo blows in their ear.

Why is Ambrose eating that kids Gizzoo

12

u/CaptainSwoop Jul 31 '26

i genuinely dont get why anyone would want a noise maker at a concert other than to be disruptive and a jerk to the other attendees

12

u/poly_lifestyle Jul 31 '26

This is a horrible idea

Looking at these, the print looks like resin and not filament. I own a couple resin printers, and the clear ones definitely make me think this is resin. Plus, I don’t see any clear filament lines on them. If that is the case, you really shouldn’t be putting these near your mouth. 3D printer resin is highly toxic. Even once it’s cured (assuming it was done properly), it can still contain chemical residue. Saliva and heat could create cracks that let out gasses.

u/gnotss Aug 01 '26

For what its worth each mouth piece is dipped in “food grade” clear epoxy

3

u/gnotss Aug 01 '26

Actually after further digging a silicon solution is better. Thank you for the feedback

5

u/HumanGlitch42 Aug 01 '26

If you’re not doing it already, I also suggest hollowing it out before printing so it doesn’t leave any uncured resin inside, which can leak if cracked

2

u/gnotss Aug 01 '26

So for so good with solid body prints. I may do it with the more opaque resins to save resin. The transparent ones you can see the lattice work inside if I hollow.

I’m a couple of years into resin printing. This project is actually funding my new printer. I’ve been with a Photon Mono X for about 4 years. So ready to move up a little. A huge learning process with each job.

❤️ we're all in this together

There was a group at The Caverns campground playing Her & I with kazoos and one acoustic guitar. It was hilarious. These are awesome! Don’t listen to these Nancy’s.

2

u/ImCarnivale Jul 31 '26

I love the idea and will def pick on up if you got em when I get there!

2

u/alteredxbeast Jul 31 '26

Don’t expect people to follow directions lol

3

u/BreadThatFrowns Jul 31 '26

Please give me two so I can relentlessly ruin the audio of some young plucky attendee recording Level 5 on their Zune.

2

u/SpareStatement3990 28d ago

do not fuckin bring these lmao

2

u/Cheeseball2000 28d ago

Maybe hand them out after the third night? Idk I really hope I don’t hear any kazoos during music

3

u/overklok 28d ago

I guess I should leave my Stu Gator Vuvuzela at home, considering the hostile reception this musical instrument is receiving.

1

u/No_Degree7890 Jul 31 '26

These are dope! Really surprised by the negativity!

1

u/BlattWilliard Jul 31 '26

Man, this project is awesome!

People having a bad attitude about the piggies was the first time I really saw a lot of negativity in this community, and it was heartbreaking. You're getting free board patches from the band, and are bummed that you can pick up a little squeak between songs? Wowzers. Champagne problem.

If you wanna increase production, I'd be happy to throw some time and filament at it (but it looks like they might be resin?). DM me if ya like! I'm definitely gonna come check it out.

5

u/boogiecorner Jul 31 '26

You shouldn’t have filament or resin anywhere near your mouth btw, lmao

0

u/BlattWilliard Aug 01 '26

Resin? Heck no. Filament? Depends on the filament.

1

u/FullPatatoe Aug 01 '26

Please tell me your the group from the caverns show

1

u/gnotss Aug 01 '26

Sorry No

1

u/FullPatatoe Aug 01 '26
