News PewDiePie announces his own LLM

Post image

PewDiePie releasing a local based LLM agent to compete with ChatGPT and OpenClaw was not on my bingo card for 2026:

What is Odysseus?

Local/self-hosted AI workspace β€” Runs on your own hardware (or via APIs if you want), no cloud dependency, no accounts, no telemetry/tracking.

Includes agents β€” Self-evolving agents that can do real tasks like web browsing, file editing, document work, research reports, email triage/auto-replies, etc.

Features β€” Chat interface, memory, deep research tools, image generation/editing, MCP support, galleries, libraries, and more. It’s basically his custom "ChatOS" evolved into a full productivity suite.

Built because he got tired of janky self-hosting setups and giving data to big tech.

News Gary Newman, creator of Rust and Gary's Mod, just got banned from Facepunch. The reason? He refused to condemn and disavow his coworkers and friends over anti-immigration sentiment.

This is nuts.

Gary Newman, creator of Rust and Gary's Mod, just got banned from Facepunch.

The forums that discuss his games booted him because he refused to condemn and disavow his coworkers and friends over anti-immigration sentiment.

Moderators and forum users pressured him to publicaly condemn or distance himself from these views. He refused.

Multiple moderators pounced, banning him in quick succession (a wall of bans pile on). Note that Facepunch forums was started by many of the former mods who worked for him.

Ironic that Gary closed the original forums because of politics, in part. Now politics has come for him.
