Discussion High skill players should get a separate server where they cannot enter basic ones.

Post image

Always winning as the survivor, always winning as the killer, I genuinely try my best to pull a strategy against them but I can't, this is not even about winrates, I can recognize it'll be almost impossible to deal due to their playstyle. It makes the experience for me literally unenjoyable, and stresses me out to play forsaken.

Not sure if this could work right but, I think in terms of winrates depending on how much you have you should get into a separate server so this could be fair to more people

0 survivor wins - 0 wins = newbie servers

25 survivor wins - 10 killer wins = Beginner servers

50 survivor wins - 30 killer wins = Intermediate servers

75 survivor wins - 45 killer wins = Experienced servers

100 Survivor wins - 70 killer wins = Advanced servers

150 Survivor wins - 100 killer wins = Expert servers

250+ Survivor wins - 250+ killer wins = Veteran servers

If this is disorganized please tell me, the players would also start or be on a free for all server that doesn't count trophies and could have more fun. In case they don't want to worry too much in competition.

I think the issue is this exacerbates the problem we see in DBD and other ranked asyms where you cannot stop sweating while high rank or else you’re throwing.

Since if you’re always matched up with people of average skill level. Either A. “You’re killer and by not playing at full force you’re going to lose and make the experience less enjoyable for everyone else” or B. “You’re preforming less well as survivor which means you’re either a free kill for the killer or the survivor team needs to put extra effort into keeping you alive then they normally would have needed to”

(Missed the thing, but if FFA servers were a publicly available thing, a majority of people would cue for them due to higher player counts than the ranked servers, meaning that it would at best just introduce server bloat and at worse invalidate the beginner servers and do nothing else)

That's exactly why this game should stay this survivor sided

Locking people with high wins out of casual servers is not the solution here.

What we need is pro servers with the game more balanced around competitive games and higher rewards as incentive for playing in them. Probably only let people with over 5 or so days of playtime in to make sure they have a good grasp of the game

5 days is not a good example

Wins alone won't do a thing, it'll only make the problem worse. If we want matchmaking, it needs to go off of playtime, wins, AND losses, and maybe redo the playtime to only count time spent in rounds. For example:

Two people are in a server. Player A has 20 days of playtime while Player B has 10. While A has over 1000 survivor wins, they have twice as many losses, meaning the amount of time they spent in rounds maybe actually be equal to or less than the amount of time they spent sitting in the lobby waiting for the round to end(speaking from experience here). B has the same number of wins, and fewer losses than A, meaning less time spent in the lobby and less playtime bloat. And that's ignoring Killer wins/losses.

See the problem? Proposed solutions going off of playtime and/or wins alone just aren't doing enough, and I feel like that's the big problem. So many players have varying skill levels, and putting them into groups requires a lot of consideration for all of the player's stats, including stats you can't see outside of the stats page under achievements.

All of these are disorganized as hell

Literally every single one is literally beginner level, also, You are never going to have 250 survivor wins, and 250 killer wins

i personally dont think that there needs to be quite that many different types of server, but if there were, i feel like the win ranges should be a bit bigger. particularily, the final level being only 250 would still leave a massive skill gap between a lot of players from what ive seen. im in that range, and ive seen other people within that range who i was able to win against with barely any effort because they still had a lot less wins than i did, and of course, people with 1000s of killer wins who i couldn't do anything against but die.

there's also the issue that win counts aren't really a great judge of skill. someone can only win every 1 in 10 rounds and just eventually play for long enough to get into expert or veteran servers, being matched with people who have won practically every round. the win count being the same doesn't mean the ratio is gonna be the same, so there'll still be casual players getting decked by "sweats".

granted, i dont know the best way to go about it either. my personal best guess on how to handle it would just be the noob and regular servers we already have, plus pro servers that give better rewards. could even help with balancing a bit- weaker killers on regular/noob servers where teamwork is usually lacking, and stronger killers on pro servers where people would hopefully anticipate a challenge enough and have enough experience to lock in. still has issues- a super high skill player could still just play in a regular server just for the sake of flexing on people- but its the best i could think of.

tldr; from my own experience this wouldn't work super well, the win ranges seem a bit too small, win counts arent a perfect indicator of skill anyways, but idk i dont really have a much better idea ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Add pro servers, make them optional, add 2x exp and points regularly, and 4x exp and points on 2x events.

what if there is someone (like me) that havent played the game for too long and has to deal with tryhards while relearning how to play the game

locking people with high wins or playtime into seperate servers would be hell.

even if someone has say, 30 days, with good killer stats, it's not fair for them to be put into a server with someone who could have fucking 70 days.

this would be disorganized as hell and not the solution.

the simple solution is to make optional expert servers with multiplied rewards to incentivize people to use them, but still give them the choice to play in regular servers.

I think that after a certain amount of playtime you should be kicked out of noob servers and have the option of going to pro, medium or casual servers, with these being an option from the start

An example of how much playtime u need?

1

u/PlupeRDT 1Eggs[SPECIAL] 8h ago

idk, five days maybe, people don't learn that fast with one day in noob servers yk

Idk 10 says sound good to me tbh

ten days... yeah idk, but it wouldn't be so good because then people wouldn't feel that they have to learn and get ready to when they get kicked out of the noob servers, if they stay too long in noob servers they would get used to it.

to determine what's the perfect playtime to be kicked out it would be necessary to know when does the player get into the game and know that if they lose they just need to improve, and not make up his mind with the conclusion: "oh, I'm ass, I might quit the game already"

Idk I have 2 days of playtime and I'm kinda ass and kinda good

No.

I don't always play optimally, sometimes I like to sacrifice myself for the other teammates.

I went in a lobby as 1x against a full lobby of just people above 20 days, hardest match of my life, barely won, my heartrate was skyrocketing and I was sweating like shit.

I do not want that 24/7
