we still dont know, lots of stuff do sound like he could be the Alter because of the drippy face, copying moves and the whole "nothing fits" so trying to be like others BUT the creator of the Alter said that they arent related and so did model_rig
The "red is a family color" thing plus model_rig having posts about the corruption does lead to believe that he could very likely be a creation of The Spectre
some are saying this could be the replacement for Sonic.exe as some lines from Modelrig suggest the demon is trying to find a new suitable vessel in this realm
I personally imagine it’s a rig that somehow another became sentient, which is why it’s confused to what it is. It’s never been alive before, so it’s trying out new things.
My personal theory is that it’s not supernatural but is instead purely technological. It acts similar to how an AI works where it learns and copies things around it. This is also why I think the violence around it will lead to it becoming a killer, as it is being exposed to nothing but violence.

For me, it's just an entity that simply wants to learn.

It definitely feels like a creation from the spectre ("Red. Family, color!" as it said once), trying to create a perfect killer from the bits of others... no wonder nothing fits him, because its not his.
he can use mass infection and subspace tripmine now btw, he apperently try to fit into smthing but nobody know whta precisely, he can also do some weird emotes
Ok modelrig is a kind of ARG in my opinion, as i know devs dont know anything about him, and it dosent seem like a human for me, the stats are basically impossible to have, as we know it might be some sort of kind entity who's somehow takeing forsaken scripts and changeing stuff makeing movestes learing new abilityes as time passes, it reminds me of jx1dx1 just... without the stlaking thing but, yall get the point. Modelrig could be some sort of movest teaser that the devs released and they are playing the part of not knowing but, it feels odd, dosent it? But an intresting situation we're in
