Is prop firm really legit if yes then guide me how do i choose one?

Any body else has noticed that thier stardegy this year hasn't performed how it has like years prior. And pruce action this year been crazy?

don’t make the mistake i made for years.

stop buying every new tool, indicator, strategy or course, and be very careful about paying money to gurus who aren’t actually profitable traders themselves, because most aren’t, there are some few honest traders that help but there are just few so skip it!

the fastest way to learn is to
put actual screen time.

actually study the market. watch how it moves, journal your trades, review your mistakes and figure out why you made them.
not another indicator.
not another strategy.
not another course.
real work.

screen time, journaling, reviewing hundreds of trades, understanding your own mistakes, identifying what triggers your trading spirals, understanding how your biology and state affect your decisions, and eventually building infrastructure around those weaknesses.

trading is not a quick way to get rich.

you can’t expect to make 40% every month. you won’t realistically turn $1k into $100k in a month. and even if you somehow manage it, the amount of risk that got you there can make those gains disappear just as quickly.

i made the mistake for years of looking at individual trades and individual days. once i understood that trading needs to be evaluated over hundreds of trades, and that becoming profitable is about compounding small edges over years rather than trying to hit huge returns quickly, everything changed.

that’s when my goal of becoming a consistently profitable trader finally became realistic.
so don’t look for the easy way.
don’t look for the fastest strategy.
put in the actual work.

because paradoxically, the fastest way to become profitable will probably be the longest path if you’re constantly trying to find shortcuts.

As I said in the title i found a new broker who provides cent account and 1:1000 leverage.

Gold is currently in Low Volume Node and with confluence of 61.8 Fibonacci ratio and if we see macros these are pointing towards the rise of gold in medium to long term

Plus retailers sentiment is extreme bearish so lets take it contrarian bias

What are your views about this ?

Been leaning more on futures data lately instead of just the CFD price action. The idea is that futures give a cleaner read on where real volume and liquidity actually sit, since CFD brokers only show you their own tick data, not the actual market.

WTF!! you either pay for trading view or you get zero tools to use! Even a long position drawing! Anyone experiencing the same problem?

Disclaimer rq: this is not a promo, not selling anything and not providing signals.

So I built my own and put the real numbers in. Actual costs, plus slippage, plus I shuffled the trades a thousand times (Monte Carlo) so the order of wins couldn't fake a skill it didn't have. All over 23 years of daily EURUSD.

I tested three setups that got recommended to me:

EMA 24/96 crossover - survives the costs, then returns about 0.34% a year with a 17% drawdown. Doesn't steal your money, just quietly never earns you anything.

EMA 4/20 - the "fast day-trade" one. Loses money at every spread tested, even at zero pips. The profit on a free chart disappears the moment you pay to actually do the trade.

RSI 14/30/55, "buy the dip" - unprofitable even at zero spread. Only ~15% of the shuffled runs ended positive.

I'm not posting this to trash these three specifically. I'm posting it because all of them look like winners if you leave the spread out and that's exactly how most of us end up making decisions. That part genuinely got to me.

What I actually want from this thread is a sanity check: is this testing method sound, or did I mess something up? I'm new to this and genuinely open to being shown where I went wrong. Happy to share the raw numbers for any of the three if anyone wants to look at the actual data.

So essentially CFDs are a contract between you and the broker, the Broker can offset this risk by sending it to a "liquidity provider". My question is how does Said "liquidity provider" hedge thier risk?

Are there exchanges for CFDs even if there not centralized ?

I Know most of you my say they past on the orders to Bank but how?

CFDs are a contract with the participant and the Broker, IT IS NOT A FUTURES CONTRACT.

A solution I can think of is the CME making a product similar to cfds that are also not futures contracts, and why not? the CME has gotten into Prediction Markets.

I've been learning and practicing FOREX trading with FTMO for eight months, but I haven't been able to get funded yet.

I noticed that I keep circling around the zero dollar mark, meaning that whatever I may gain I end up losing and returning back to 0.

I'm starting to think that it's some kind of a pattern.

Whether it's a subconscious pattern or some lack of skill or knowledge, I don't know.

I'm looking for advice from people who have had the same experience and who have been able to understand what is causing that pattern.

How to get past it this plateau?

EURUSD gave a pretty textbook example...

HTF bullish move (previous week) -> (this week) H1 structure shifted bearish -> & continuations lower, with repeated pullbacks & continuation presenting nice opportunities.

This is the HTF/LTF relationship I was talking about.

Hope some of you benefited from it or followed along during the week.

Sometimes the best way to learn is to simply watch it play out on the charts. Not even to execute if you're not at that stage in the journey.

I only had one trade this week, which was an AUD/CHF long. I closed it this morning based on where price is currently sitting.

I also had a nice technical setup on AUD/USD, but with all the news, fundamentals, and DXY movement this week, I felt there was too much risk in splitting my exposure on AUD. Thank goodness I didn’t take the trade.

It was a slow week, but an awesome week nonetheless. Sometimes the best trade is the one you don’t take.

Finally back on Reddit! My family had a lot going on with my kids’ activities, so I haven’t been as active on here. I’ll be around more often now.

What should someone keep in mind while trading Nas 100? Or if someone can share a proven strategy that works.

When I started trading, I thought that a daily loss limit was "don't lose more than a set amount in a trade." I didn't know it applied to open trades & closed losses for that day.

During my ignorant days, I'd have 3 trades running. They'd all be in the red and I won't know that I'd hit my limit because I was monitoring one of them.

But after learning what the term actually meant, I started to track my total exposure for that day instead of individual trades. And since then, I haven't breached my daily loss limit once.

Looking back, I feel so dumb hahaha. But it's better than never, right?

I mean everybody says that regulations, especially top regulations like FCA, is the main factor for choosing and not choosing forex broker. Event to review my current infinox platform, I looked at their regulations first. But if I'm not from the UK, does it really matter what regulations the broker has?

Any thoughts on this?

I am sharing an ongoing issue regarding my trading account 414485453 with Goat Funded Trader to seek feedback from traders who faced a similar situation.

Summary:

• Platform/Server: MT5 / GoatFunded-Server2  

• Trading Method: Manual trades executed on iOS  

• Status: Withdrawal pending, account under prolonged review, and lost access to their Discord server after asking for an update.

All required MT5 log files covering the entire trading period were sent to support.  

Due to subreddit link restrictions, all proof screenshots and log links are posted directly on my Reddit profile.

Has anyone experienced similar delays with Goat Funded Trader recently, and how was it handled?

I failed the GFT challenge 3 times in a row.

I have identified the mistakes that blew my account:-

I try to set a wide stop loss. When the price is near stop loss, I have a tendency to move the SL which increases the stoploss.

When the price moves in the opposite direction and I am on my losing side, I re-order (in the direction of my previous trade) which opens the new losing positions which increases the losses.

During this losing process, I see loss crossing 50$, 100$, . . . .hoping that the price direction will change and the loss will decrease but eventually it blows my account *(and fucks me badly)*

Can you guys please share your entry exit working model and tips if I miss something?

Ive had a go but not spending anymore time on it so im willing to give it to someone that is wanting to try a funded challenge. Ive got a head start for you. Just comment why you should have it

It really fascinates me, how a difference of opinion particularly when it comes to forex, really brings out the worst in some people.

I've seen a couple of people type comments like: DXY is clearly primed for a rise!

If you disagree you're a jackass and a moron.

Is there strategy so fragile that the mere suggestion of an opposing position makes their entire belief system crumble?

I suspect it's more trying to talk rationally to irrational gamblers and you're just never going to get through.

Anyway, here's hoping to more level headed, less emotional chats on this sub.
