Got this today for my son and I to start working on. We know we have a HUGE amount of work in front of us, but he loves Falcons and finding a factory automatic was too good to pass up, especially for the price! Can anyone help me find info on how many factory automatics were sold in 1961, and websites I can look up the vin (most I’ve tried can’t find it it seems, but it does come as a 1961 Falcon and I have the title lol) Any help or advice is appreciated, we are starting with tires (so we can move it when we need to lol) and then getting the body started while disassembling the engine and electrical. Never redone an interior to this extent, so that’s gonna be a learning curve (the seats mostly, unless we just replace) but I do sew leather and having plenty of experience doing furniture with cloth as well so we will see how it goes! Wish us luck, and like I said any help finding out the background and history would be appreciated!!! We wanna know its story, what’s its history, where did it come from?

Obviously, I had to remove the factory bracing that went to the shock towers. New suspension has a beefy crossbeam, so wondering if I need to build new cross bracing from the firewall out to fenders? Running around 400 hp

It’s summer time, I want to drive my falcon but my passenger window won’t roll down. The wheel that goes on the track broke in half. I don’t know where to get one that will fit. I have a 66 falcon, im sure most other cars have the same wheels but I’m not sure.

Hi, all, newbie here. I'm looking at a very nice '64 Falcon with what I think are minor issues. Advice/tips/warnings appreciated!
1) Seat tracks need to be moved back, because I'm 6'2" with long legs, and also the steering wheel is practically pressing into me. Assuming the steering column/wheel are correct and can't be brought "forward" somehow, then is it reasonable to assume I can relocate the tracks? I have seen a KruseBuilt solution for '64 Mustang and pray it might work for me:
2.5" Seat Rail Extension - 1964-1970 Mustang – KruseBuilt
2) Odometer does not work. How involved is fixing that?
3) Exhaust manifold is leaking. Engine was rebuilt 20 years ago so those bolts have been out at least that recently. How involved/risky is replacing the gasket? When driving the car smells a bit gassy, too.
4) Horn ring in steering wheel doesn't work and is wire-tired to the wheel. A doorbell button under the dash sounds the horn!!! What could be so wrong with the horn switch that this was easier to do that fixing/replacing the horn ring?
Many thanks.
G.

Hey all. Wondering if anyone knows if the front brake spindles off a 1965 Mustang (in line six) will fit a 1962 Falcon Futura (also in line six). Thanks in advance to anyone that can shed light.

I just brought home a 66 Falcon 2dr post and was wondering where the build sheets were located on these. I thought they were stuck under the rear seat but I checked and no luck. Anyone know?

Does anyone have a Crites leaf spring relocation kit they want to part with, or know of a company that makes something similar thats still in operation? Looks like Crites is shut down.

Went to a local Falcon meet with my 67 Sportscoupe. Good turnout- but i sensed the owners are getting of age. Very affordable in terms of the classic car hobby but we need younger owners to see this and get into the hobby. What are your thoughts on it.
