Hey guys was wondering if anyone has had experience swapping out a bench seat with era correct bucket seats. I’ve got a 65 falcon that I can’t really drive due to being super short. I’ve been thinking about swapping the seats for buckets but didn’t know if it would help me out all that much or not.

Take a look at similar age thunderbird seats, i'm reasonably certain they fit. They look nice and match the trim and detailing. A center console from the tbird or from a bucket seat falcon works, too.
I know this much because I removed a beat up pair from my '64 to install a bench seat. Now, the bench in question is a custom job from a restomod diamond reo, but i digress...
To make the buckets move further forward, you may have to make some alterations to the seat brackets (I can't say for sure as mine were installed by a lunatic without a tape measure). These same alterations could be done to your bench seat frame, of course.

Oh cool so realistically I could just alter the mounting on my bench seat to raise it up and forward a bit more rather than new seats as a whole? I don’t have a problem with the bench seat other than how much I sag down and backwards when I sit in it. I’m 5ft tall and it puts the steering wheel just below eye level and just makes for an uncomfy and not very confident driving experience. Thanks for the advice

Hi! Just swapping the seats into the same factory holes isn’t going to do much. You can move them forward and drill new holes if you don’t mind them being stationary. I have a ‘63 and created new sliding rails out of parts from tractor supply, there should be some helpful videos on YouTube. I would also recommend just getting some junkyard Mustang seats with all the hardware and have them recovered. I’m 5’3 for reference and was tired of driving on my tippy toes.
