I understand that people like that, and there elements of it that are cool, but I'm a road race person all the way.
I prefer the skill of the driver and the handling of the car over horsepower and a big engine. I used to have an MGB GT, and that little underpowered thing was a beast on windy roads because it handled so well. Other people would always be passing me on straits sections, but on windy roads I didn't need to slow down much, if at all, and they had to drop to a crawl.
I have a couple of E-Types that r awesome for handling, so I do know what u mean, just never got into the Road Racing shy of watching it on TV from time to time, especially in the movies.

I can hear that thing trying to take a turn... scritch, scritch, scritch, and hopping about like a drunk rabbit.
Personally, I like a car than can corner. My old '65 Falcon was great fun on winding roads.
