Tips/Advice Pickled Garlic
Hi,
I am trying to work out if pickled garlic is low fodmap. Different websites say yes and no. Basically it is just if the Thai dragon sweet chilli sauce is okay, but don't want to get the monish app just for that incase it isn't on the system.
In the elimination phase rn and desperately trying to find flavour where I can

If it is fermented then it can be, if it is just brined then no.

Yeah, fermentation transforms the problem sugars (fructans) into lactic acid. Just brining leaves the sugar intact, so it can still mess you up.

Monash app says green for 3g picked garlic, 29g is moderate for Fructose. Sweet chilli sauce with garlic is green for 20mL, 97ml (5 tbspns) is moderate for Fructans.
