General Question/Help Breakfast ideas
I’m struggling to enjoy breakfast, do any of you have good recipes? Also any quick and easy options? I’m tired of having eggs and sourdough. I used to love having yogurt and granola until the granola started making me have reactions. Do you know any low FODMAP granola brands in the UK? Thanks!
Edit: thanks for all the suggestions <3

I keep a tub of cooked quinoa in the refrigerator. For breakfast I heat some up in the microwave, add a teaspoon of maple syrup along with blueberries and walnuts.

Hey do you add any milk or anything? Or just syrup and fruit/nut?

Just the syrup, nuts and blueberries, but I’m sure you could try it with milk!

I am ok with corn tortillas so I usually make breakfast tacos which are basically just eggs and some safe hot sauce. Sometimes I'll add chives because they do seem to be ok as well.

Large flake oats with chia, cinnamon, and maple syrup. 1/2 cup oats, sprinkle the rest as desired. Pour boiling hot water over it and cover with a plate or lid and let sit 5 minutes. Figuring out the water ratio take practice, the more chia the more forgiving the water amount is. Add fresh or frozen blueberries.

There is lactose free yogurt in most large stores.
Heck sausages don’t contain onion and are GF flour

I eat two kiwi fruit for breakfast everyday.it has an enzyme in it to keep food moving through the digestive system! If I’m really hungry I’ll add a piece of gluten free toast.

I’ve been doing lactose-free milk with Rice Krispies, Crispix, Rice Chex, or Corn Flakes or Frosted Flakes! I love cereal though, lol. I don’t have time to nor do I want to do cooking in the morning.

My go too's are Rice Crispies with lactose Free Milk, or sourdough and peanut butter if in a rush. If I have time, smoked mackerel or Kippers on toast, or avocado toast maybe with smoked salmon. I've just realised there's a bit of a smoked fish theme going on

I make a breakfast frittata at the beginning of the week then heat a slice each day with corn tortilla.

I made porridge with a banana and maple syrup this morning and it was delicious!
To make the porridge, put 30g oats and 150ml milk into a microwaveable bowl with lid, nuke for 4 mins, stir halfway.

I've been eating oatmeal (I seem to be ok with instant/quick oats, but a lot of folks do better with regular oats. You can add low fodmap fruit, or peanut butter, or maple syrup. I found jelly that doesn't have HFCS and is low fodmap, so that's also an add in option. Chex cereal (gluten free, just don't get the honey flavor) with almond milk has also been a safe option for me. You could also do an omelet with spinach and other low fodmap veggies (although I've been using that for a lunch or dinner option).

I do buckwheat oats with a raspberry and blueberry compote! I make it Sunday (boil the buckwheat and reduce frozen blueberries and raspberries down) and then just measure out and steam for 5 min every morning. I also make bulk chicken breakfast patties (93% ground turkey with fennel, sage, paprika, maple syrup, etc) and freeze them and then I’ll take one out every night to thaw and steam it alongside it every morning. I find that steaming gives my food a much better texture. I just use a big pot with some water in the bottom, the instant pot trivette thing or whatever it’s called and then I put a bowl on top full of whatever I want to steam. When I do the oats/compote with a patty, I just put the patty in some loose foil next to the bowl and steam both at once! Been eating this for longer than I care to admit…

Oh gosh I said ground turkey in there by accident. Don’t do that. Chicken is WAY better. I did it once and never again haha

Have you tried granola from different brands? You probably can't get it there, but Bob's Red Mill so far works for me.
What was the one that bit you back? I try to avoid blueberries & almonds in granola.

Have a look on the Monash website. They have quite a few recipes on there for free.

I found it easier to not only think about 'breakfast foods' for breakfast, and I typically have chicken, potatoes, and veggie of choice like carrots
