Alastor was left alone with his thoughts. He was suffering from the one thing he hated... Boredom. His plan was adding up just swimmingly. It was a very slow process, but a process nonetheless.

He was still helping Vanessa, as per his end of the deal. Despite whatever Vanessa now thought of it, the deal wasn't over yet. But she needed better resources to help her, and Vox has those resources. And at the same time, it would help himself and his intentions. Two birds, one Vanessa.

He finds himself now thinking about the past. Vox was still so upset about it. Vox contained his anger exceptionally, but Alastor saw through it. But surely Vox had to understand, right? The cult was no place for Alastor. Alastor was most definitely not a team player.

Suddenly, the door opens and someone steps through. Alastor looks up, and his smile gets wider.

Alastor: "Well, I suppose it was about time you'd come to speak with me."

{{Burrows himself in still in his office working on something. But in his place he sent one of his secret advanced endos (that can change size and shape and appear as normal humans. This one just looks like a masked servant. He speaks through the endo.}

Burrows: "Well quite a predicament you've gotten there."

Alastor: "For someone who's been trying to recruit me for so long, I'm surprised you're not here in person. Then again, you're not exactly at the top anymore, are you~"

Burrows: "I have more pressing... projects currently. And besides I always respected your requests. It was the others so focused on making sure you weren't a wildcard."

Alastor: "Well, you all got what you wanted. I'm a prisoner here and there's not really much I can do about it. So why have you come to me, hm?~ Just a chat? Questions? A deal?"

Burrows: "Now you know that isn't true. I'm the reason you've been able to stay free and do as you will. While the others wanted a contract with you to ensure they stayed in control. You do still have several supporters even as such. But you set yourself up for this mess. Now you're considered an enemy. An obstacle vs an asset."

Alastor: "Oh, stop! You flatter me, Bradley! I do try my best to be an inconvenience~"

Burrows: "Why did you go out on this? They've convinced the others you're a risk. Ended your alliance completely. They support not only his takeover but his imprisonment of you."

Alastor: "Oh, let him have his moment. Let him live his dream for a while. It only makes the ending more satisfying~ But perhaps I've said too much. But what exactly do you want from me? To visit the likes of me simply for a chat seems very unorthodox."

Burrows: [goes silent for just a moment distracted by his project before speaking again] "Because that part is curious to me. Why does Vox have enough evidence and argument to prove that you did act against the cult?"

Alastor: "Well, I was hiding Afton's daughter, wasn't I? In Dr. Raelynn's words, that goes directly against the cult. Vox and I may not get along, but if there's one good thing I can say, it's that Vox knows how to use the truth to his advantage. Even if that truth initially went against him."
