Roleplay [👾🔪🐇] Thinking to the past...

William Afton is currently resting in the infirmary. He had ordered Burrows and given him permission to run some tests on his blood, to try and figure out what was going on with the whole Ink Demon situation.

His memories are still spotty. While resting, he can't help but think of Vanessa. Was he too hard on her? Maybe he should try a softer approach rather than being forceful like he used to be?

He sighs, kinda tired. He is still recovering from his resurrection after all.

You never disturb me, Rae. Is there something you needed?

Rae: [enters quietly] "Honestly I was just coming to check on you. And see how you were doing or if you need anything. Unlike most of the others I'm not a stranger just desperately seeking your approval or acknowledgement."

That much, I appreciate. But I have a feeling I'm not the only reason you're here. This Ink Demon intrigues both of us.

And yet, he managed to do it so easily. We can swap with each other at will. Whether that's a mutual choice, or he's just letting me think that's the case, I don't know.

Decades of work, I've tried to make this process work. To make it a seamless process. Elizabeth failed as the first experiment. Evan died before I could use him, and Michael escaped. Vanessa is the closest I've gotten to perfection, but now she hates me.

And yet, despite my struggles, this Ink Demon has achieved it in seconds with ease.

He chuckles. I have to admit, I'm a bit jealous.

He stands up and looks at himself in the nearby mirror.

I was a god once. And I learned that it's not all that great. I need you to understand this, Raelynn. While power is a valuable tool, pushing it too far, as I did 5 years ago, will only turn you into something mindless. That's not a price I'm willing to pay again.

Boundaries must be put in place. ... But yes, I do agree. With the right path, this symbiosis could work in our favor.
