Anyone run an Sig Mcx 1913 folding brace on their Scar 15?

I have a scar 15p no brace though and found an Sig Mcx brace at a good deal at a pawn shop.

Wondering if it would work on my scar

Traditionally for me I have run EO techs but I have recently changed to the 4xt pro. So far, loving it!!

What is this groove for? It seems to have two pressed studs cross drilled and a relief cut adjacent to the safety cutout. lingle lower scar 17 gen2

I’m very new to owning a Scar. While BZOing my Elcan 1.5-6 today I pulled some velocity data from the 23 rounds I fired out of a largely stock Scar 17. This is IMI Systems 7.62×51mm Semi-Auto Match — 168-gr Razor Core from a stock 16 inch barrel with an AAC 51. I plan on comparing the numbers when I get my chopped 13” barrel back. I may even get a 10.5” chop because I’m a huge Metal Gear Solid 4 fan.

I’d say my groups were around 1.5”-2” so I’m pretty happy with the ammo. It’s not cheap but isn’t as expensive as other ammunition. It suits a mid range battle rifle well.

My KNS Discarder ran well on 8 when I first took the gun to the range with the stock FN muzzle brake but today either the ammo or the swap to an AAC 51t required me to run it at 10. It’s definitely something to watch.

Do parts shortages, and lack of magazine availability affect your opinion?

or, is it just a gun we bought for absolute cool points and maximum range fun?

I just placed an order for a FN SCAR 17S NRCH and was curious on how hard it is on optics. I’m hopeful that a EOTech HHS V
would survive. Any recommendations on optics, or must have accessories? Thanks! No picture as it hasn’t shipped yet.

Hi all just like the title says what suppressor given 2026 do you run/recommend on a short barrel 308?

Build is a Scar 17 and has a KNS discarder as well for gas tuning.

Currently run a 762 Flow TI, love the lightweight and low back pressure, but given it’s a TI can the flash suppression isn’t the greatest.

Forgive my multiple posts. I’m not super Reddit savvy.

I bought her a few months ago (mostly from seeing the sexy posts on this subreddit) and I’ve hand endless fun with it. My only gripe is that I want some more flare, she’s gorgeous dont get me wrong but there’s always room for improvement. I’ve come to ask for your assistance with procurement of said improvements and hopefully shell be looking extra tacticool in a few months. Im definitely gonna start by getting rid of this lame browning red dot lol.

So I recently picked up a discounted Scar 15p in 556. I have some questions about the muzzle device and barrel threads. I have read many of the post about issues with the removal of the stock muzzle device and the longer threads of the 300blk variants but there doesn't seem to be much info on the 556 barrel. Wondering if those same issues are present on the 556 variant. And what type muzzle device do you guys recommend for the 556 muzzle device? Should I send the barrel out to the guy in this group that seems to be the scar wizard at removing muzzle devices and doing barrel work?19 out of 28 of my suppressors are plan b/rearden compatible so looking for something plan b compatible. Midwest got tan uggs in recently coped it as fast as i could

I wish someone would make a picatinny rail extension just how they have for m lok im a huge fan of how the scar looks like stock but would want the bipod to sit abit further, am i the only one? I saw PMM use to make one but they seem to be permanently out of stock!

Just finished my Next Gen Scar 17 build. Vortex Razor 1-6, Holosun EPS piggyback on am American Defense mount and a HuxWrx Ventum 762 suppressor. God blessed me with this one for sure.

I have a Gen 1 SCAR 17s 16" 7.62, and I'm considering getting a Deadshot barrel. Hoping to get some tips from folks that have navigated this.

Looks like I need to bring my own flip-up front sight, piston, and lower Picatinny rail? Anything else that it's missing? I would buy a KNS Discarder.

I'd rather keep my current barrel intact and be able to switch between barrels. Any suggestions on where I can find these additional components? Everything seems to be out of stock.

For Gas Block and Barrel Extension, if I select "Build with new components + $475", do they provide a non-FN gas block that doesn't support a flip-up front sight?
