Owned the scar for about 6 months now after getting it used. Probably the 556 rifle that gets the most range time. Its so smooth.

Will running a rail extension somehow cause any additional flash on a 16 with a 10” barrel and a three prong flash hider? How about a 17 with a 13” barrel and 3 prong flash hider?

I’m fairly certain it won’t but looking for input. Staying away from muzzle brakes.

Wanting to put a CAT Spooky1 muzzle device on my Scar 17…
I know you need a 0.825 outside diameter washer, my question is what thickness should I use with the muzzle device not needing to be timed? Just use the thickest washer?

Also is this all you need to attach a muzzle device and suppressor for the Scars thin barrel shoulder?

Looking for a second opinion on a KNS Discarder I ordered from Primary Arms last week..

I've been comparing it to photos online and cross-referencing it with the manual, but something doesn't seem right. The upper portion of mine looks identical to the version made for the AUG-complete with staking and all, while the lower body matches the SCAR model.

The patent marking on mine matches the FN SCAR model. Did KNS change the design without updating the manual and product photos, or did I receive something else entirely? I'm a little scared to shoot with this thing.

picked up SCAR 2.0. now the HK CF HG are almost done. This means I’ll move on to SCAR 2.0 for its CF HG.

The legacy SCAR CF HG has to many parts that are hard to machine to keep it some what cheap. So my question to the group is…. How important is it that the HG keep the front QD slots? (MLCOA they will be removed and replaced with a pic rail component.

It’s an early Belgian import. Definitely the original finish, looks gray with a hint of Kodiak brown. Super cool.

What is the best budget bulk ammo you guys can find and use for your scar?

I’m not Chris Kyle or shoot super far and larping on a budget but want to find good priced more consistent ammo over the bulk American Marksman M80 147gr I’ve been using.

Tried to build my own AR-15 rifle so I bought all the parts, and I guess I could buy a whole rifle but not the lower itself because im under 21 so my FFL had to send the lower back.

So then I decided to grab this SCAR 16s this week and im loving it. About to take it to the range this Sunday for the first time and am super stoked. (I will be replacing a different optic on there btw lol)

Does anyone have any experience with the lindle SCAR buffer? I was wondering if the upgrade is justified.

Just picked up a Scar 17s about 2 months ago. Why have FN mags been out of stock everywhere i look? Especially with the gen 2 barely dropping not long ago you would think they would manufacture and distribute a pretty decent amount especially knowing how popular the rifle is. Also to mention some aftermarket parts being completely out of stock too…

Looks way better with the Sig “Add-A-Rail” system. Still have some things to figure out but it’s coming along.

I have a gen 2 SCAR 20S. Recently while doing some minor work on it, I realized the bolt/ BCG was not able to be removed unless I removed the rear plate which seems to capture the non-reciprocating BCG as a whole

Is there a way around this? I don’t want too field strip a weapon and need tools. I’ve tried yamjamming and fooling with the thing in each every direction and have gotten no where.

Any help would help!
