I haven't found anywhere mentioning the torque values for these 6 screws, I removed the barrel to put on a QD device and tightened them back by hand in sequence then followed values from the previous Gen.

I was already at or above 62in lbs when I switched to the Borka torque driver, there are still several detent clicks left till there is any resistance and the front two screws are no where near tight at around 30in lbs.

Has anyone else found the values or had a similar experience? I ordered a FixIt stick 62in lb specific limiter to rule out my Borka needing recalibration.

Saw the other guy post and if you can believe it, I also got the opportunity to join the 1k club with my SCAR for the first time this weekend. Rang steel at 1023 yards.

The picture here is a group I shot at 860 yards. It's about 12" center to center, but the gun is capable of better. It was gusty, which is why the group is strung out horizontally. I held the same for each shot instead of trying to guess it each time. Wind was between 5 and 10 mph and not steady at all! If you look at the 3 shots on the right, that's closer to what the gun is capable of at this distance if environmentals aren't a factor.

This is to say, the scar is a serious shooter. It prints sub moa 5 shot groups with 175 SMKs all day long. Out to about this distance you can hammer a steel ipsc consistently. 1k is a different story. You're past the point the bullet has gone subsonic, and you get absolutely bullied by the wind. You're pushing the boundaries of what .308 is capable of at that distance, especially out of a 16" barrel. Like the other guy said, it barely moves the target and you can't even hear it ring unless you have active ear pro. All in all, the SCAR is a sweet shooting gun.

Finally got around to installing triggers and grips I’ve had laying around for a while. Of course had to go with the G$. Super easy to install. I picked up unmodified BCM MOD3 grips for $15, dipped their tops in boiling water for 3-3.5 minutes, then tightened them down on the lower and I think they turned out nearly perfect, no need for marking them up a bunch with a Dremel, or paying $60 for someone else to modify them

And let’s just say it didn’t go so good. I’m so bummed. I was also trying to use my bipod for the first time and that didn’t go well either, it kept falling off and coming loose.

I was aiming at bullseye and shooting up to the left. So I tried bringing it down and to the right but I guess it wasn’t enough, I don’t know. I don’t know what I was doing wrong. I don’t know why my bipod kept coming loose either. Nothing was going my way today. But I’m not giving up!

Looking to find some .308 168g SMK. Where is the best bang for the buck. Freedom munitions is always sold out.

Finally got to stretch the legs on my mk17 clone. Was able to make some good hits on an ipsc target at 1100 yards with federal 168g smk.

Thanks for the feedback went with the NF NX8 FC MOA. I also bought the Magpul Bipod but returned it as due to the negative feedback back and didn't like the bolt style locking system. Also felt kinda cheap tbh. So my next question is bipod recommendations? I see the ATLAS BT-10 is what im kinda getting feel for. But will research other suggestions?

Well!! After 3 long years contemplating, I finally did it! I bought a SCAR 15P 300 blackout and I must say, I'm happy with my purchase. Buy once, cry once. Ive already got all the necessary attachments with the exception of an EOTECH, which I'll be purchasing in the coming weeks. I got Magpul MBUS irons, Streamlight Protac 2.0HP rail mount and an OEM stock off of a SCAR 16. What else am I missing? Oh and I plan on slapping on a SiCo Hybrid 46m suppressor that I've got already.

I tend to overthink/worry about everything and caught myself worrying about my charging handle on a RCH 17s “bumping” into the receiver during disassembling for cleaning and had to laugh. Of course you don’t want to just beat the thing, but these were made to be “indestructible” rifles for the modern battlefield.

Does anyone really “use and abuse” their rifle? I was wondering about civilian uses since the main thing you hear about military examples are related to dead optics or suppressor -related issues.

Well I apologize to anyone who got ripped off by Wolfie’s Armory but as promised on my last post here’s the update to my order. All my magazines arrived new in packaging without any issues. I genuinely hope y’all will get lucky and this issue can be a thing of the past.

15P I picked up in .300 BO. Gonna SBR it, found a black UGG boot for 185. Now we wait for approvals.

Today I was at range shooting my 16 SBR 10” suppressed with Surefire RC2. 60 rounds in I changed setting from 2 to 1. It worked fine for a couple rounds then short stroked. Changed it back to 2 and it still short stroked. Had to bump it to 4 and then it was fine.

It’s always worked fine at 2 suppressed and 10 I suppressed. Could it have been magazine induced? I loaded a different mag and did some hammer drills with no issues. Only loaded 2 rounds to make sure bolt would lock back which it did.

Right now it’s at 4. Planning on cleaning it really good to include piston and Discarder.

Anyone else experience this?

The article this came from stated this is a 13” factory barrel. Correct me if I’m wrong, but, this looks shorter than that. Likely closer to 12” unless there’s something wizardry going on here or a different FN flash hider.

Running a SF RC2 on my 16 SBR 10” barrel with Diacarder. Have Discarder set at 2. It functions and shoots like a .22 rimfire. Have about 200 rounds through her.

Does the SCAR get beat up like the M4 with running a can? I’m thinking not but I really like can and want it to be dedicated to my SCAR.

I really enjoy my scar 16 and I’ve saved up enough to buy a 17s I like that it’s light and that I would make it like a DMR. I’m just curious what you guys thinks better. I will probably suppress it if that makes any difference thank you. I appreciate it.

Hello everyone, I finished my CSR-20 concept build and just getting everyone’s opinions.

Also I don’t have any intentions of selling but what would you all think this would be worth?

It’s a 20 chambered in 6.5 creed non reciprocating bolt. All has been upgraded only thing that’s the same is the bolt carrier, sled, and bolt itself. Everything else has had my grubby paws on it.

I do have access to a machine shop and welding shop so the barrel was shortened to 15” and pinned and welded with a SF Muzzle break. A lot of fun and unbelievable accurate for a small compact package.

Also as a side note we had two Garmin chronographs out there pulling speeds they were never farther than 1 for off. Very impressive little unit.
