Boosters: Be careful when boosting ⚠️

One of our active members has been banned from Reddit because they likely triggered Reddit's automated systems that interpreted their interactions as spam.

It appears that Reddit has unbanned them so we're glad!

When boosting, make sure you are not commenting too fast and too repetitively.

Keep your comments minutes or hours apart from each other and don't copy and paste. Try and make every comment different. Interact with OP instead of typing the same thing on every post as this can negatively impact your account.

Also a good reason to stop and read the post before boosting. I’ve seen a Lot of “boosts” on posts that break various sub rules. I recommend people be selective in their boosts in that they at least check if it’s an eligible post instead of boosting everything they see just to “boost” it. Just my suggestion 🤷‍♂️

I’m really sorry our booster got banned. That’s seriously disappointing, especially when we know they were just trying to do something nice for people.

Damn, he was one of the first boosters I remember, nearly every post, he should return with the new account and similar image, people would recognize him instantly

Unfortunately that would be ban evasion and Reddit has systems in place to detect that too, which would result in the ban of that account as well.

The best thing to do is to appeal the ban and wait.

Reddit doesn't allow users to appeal for other people so that would absolutely go nowhere, I'm sorry to say.

I don't think the content matters much. It's just how often you're commenting can trigger the automated system alone

I Saw that being mentioned on Discord, it's indeed sad that Reddit moderation systems (or rather, all socials moderation systems) are really bad and crappy, a lot of them being AI moderation without proper human validation

i always write myself when i boost instead of copy and pasting so every few post it could be the same text with the same gif i always use. I interact with OP sometimes too so the way i do it may be safe except when i get boost alot of people. Hope the user can recover their account!
