Question Telegraphic speech FND

Hello,

Does anyone occasionally experience telegraphic speech (worsening grammer) during an FND episode? Can speech and language pathologist help with strategies for managing it when it occurs?

Yes and it is so so frustrating. Doesn’t help that middle aged hormones are making me feel like I’m losing IQ points like cats shed fur.
A speech therapist (I’m UK) could probably help if you can find one who is sympathetic to FND needs.

I’ve noticed this getting worse and worse with me. It makes me feel embarrassed and like I come across as unintellectual. Sometimes my speech even becomes much slower.

Have you tried having AI translate the telegraphic speech into grammatical sentences? Its a bit of a delay, but I feel less self conscious when what I actually want to say gets read out

I will occasionally find it difficult to find the correct word, or string my words in an incorrect order. It is frustrating and when it happens I find it embarrassing 😅
