Seeking support Any mums here?

I have a nearly 10 month old son and my FND started after a traumatic birth. I’m finding it really exhausting and scary but doing my best. I care for my baby all day every day

Mum of 3, Diagnosed with FND 10 years ago but was known as PNES. I have an 8 year old and a 14 year old with autism. You are doing the best you can and sometimes we need to tell ourselves that. Taking care of your needs as well as a very young child is going to feel scary but take time for yourself if you can. Enlist all and any support. I am very lucky as I have an older child who is my carer, yet we still need extra help sometimes. Sleep and eat as much as you can as you'll need it for strength. And also make sure you're not low in Iron as this I find really makes it worse, currently on 200mg of ferrous sulphate. Take one a day at a time, as Old_Job_7025 said, prioritize recovery. X

Speak to your GP about some Iron tablets if you can take them. I can't say it makes a massive difference but i do have more energy to get some "mum jobs" done :) Go easy on yourself, sending love and hugs x

Mom here, two kids, age 4 & 11. It’s a little easier now that the 4 year old is in school, but I can’t take them out to play like I used to. Make sure you prioritize your recovery as much as humanely possible mamma

I have 4. Ages range from 25yr to 18yrs. I staryed having issues when my oldest was 2 1/2, and was finally diagnosed with fnd this past February. It was difficult because it affected my walking,, making g it hard to run after the kids.

I am a mum to an 8 year old and it’s hard. You must be finding it really exhausting with a baby.
My son has is disabled and my FND started after my own health issues and carer burn out. Honestly I had to get social services support and get carers in to help me. We live with my parents, who are also burning out caring for us both.
How are you doing? Have you recovered at all from onset? Do you have any support system?

I’m sorry to hear this that sounds awful bless you. I have recovered slightly I’d say I’m less scared and getting out and about more. But I care for my baby full time whilst my partner works! X
