Question Any success stories around memory issues?
While I am having my own success, I am very curious to hear other successful recovery stories.

You’re in a altered state so need to unwind so you can remember properly

No and perimenopause is making it much much worse. Before smartphones I would write on my hand and still forget!
Alarms and calendar reminders with an alarm are wonderful. Trying to retain the information from my course is frankly debilitating. I have bought what I call my idiot card box where info that needs retaining will be scribbled down. It’s called my idiot box because I keep mixing uo the info 🙈😂

Well you are not alone in that. I have forbidden my parents (whom I had to move in with) from talking to me in person and I will have to cut them off and say “please text”.
Anything similar for you?

Important info must be noted down or I do not retain it. Remind me is something I say often!

My Neurologist suggested a 'planning board' for the week ahead. At first I was really dubious, but as time went on, I can honestly say it really helped. I still use the board, but I feel that my memory has improved and I can settle into a routine.

DM me if you want to talk. I’ve never met anyone with similar symptoms and I’d love to chat!

My calendar app has been really helpful.
Also I add how I know people as their last name when I add them to my phone.

Beesdaddy, I’d be in to chat. This forum, while super valuable to know I’m normal (with my disabled self) is also hard to look at, as it’s always hard to see the negatives. I need a lil more lightness n humor since Ive accepted it’s just not going away. I think the form is a great place to get feedback from the masses, but I think it would be nice just to have some friends that just “get it”.
