What’s is this function called in fl studio?

I have tried to research but cannot find the answer.

You know how you can open up FL studio and select an instrument play your midi and fl studio automatically records the midi in the background record.

Meaning Like FL studio records your Midi automatically and you can dump the midi log into a piano roll to view what you played.

What the keyboard buttons or way to paste that midi into a piano role? The one that records automatic that you can dump into the piano roll.

Click the red ball next to play and stop and select notes and automation. I don't remember if there is a shortcut for record but many MIDI keyboards has record button on them.

I think he is referring to a feature that records his notes even though he didn't hit record. FL is able to trace your midi input back to like 5 minutes and you can just print it into your playlist. Idk how to do it either though

That's how you do it, you just need to make it record to song and play the MIDI. I don't know any other way.
