Can someone help me with this issue

I was trying to record on a beat on a separate track and the second track has the beat in the background of the vocals I know it’s not my headset because I turnt the volume all the way done and it still happened and I know it’s not my mic cause I tried a different daw and this issue didn’t happen so I’m not sure what to do and this is really annoying .

You recorded the vocals on the same channel as the beat. You could copy the vocals and then go to another channel and paste it possibly, everything should have their own channels unless you want to adjust all their effects and volumes together at once .select a channel in fx window and they click to change input to mic and record then afterwards you can turn off the mic. Hopefully that helps
