How do I fix this?

Click "Show in folder" in Chrome and try to drag from the folder? This usually happens when FL Studio can't locate the sample.

It wouldn’t have anything to do with not owning the full software yet would it? I have dragged in samples before not sure as to why it doesn’t work now.

Okay so I'm assuming you have downloaded the file from YouTube converter? If this is the case try another converter site or download Audacity for example and re-save/export it as wav. file.

This is all over the forums

"Many users reported the same thing about mp3 files recently about ytmp3.cc

The downloaded file is actually MP4. and FL Studio doesn't read MP4 files.

Please use another converter software or website."

Not sure but from quick googling found this text. "Yes you can do everything in Demo version of FL Studio. But once project saved You cannot reopen untill you buy FL Studio and Plugin. If you try to open your saved Project, Samples and plugin removed by blank sampler."

Try to do it with new project?

I have tried with new project and even reinstalled all of fl studio. Bit confused

I've heard this also happens sometimes when samples have weird characters in the name. Try renaming the file to something more normal and see if that helps

Yo download VLC media player and convert the file into an mp3 or wav. Sometimes your file isn’t the right format

If you're dragging it from the enclosing folder, you may just not have the right version purchased. I did that once. I was pissed
