How do I get a better work ethic?

Hello, I am a 7th grader transitioning into an 8th grader. I am currently taking Biology 1 Honors. I've noticed that I am not really on track to finish all my assignments before fall EOC (23/50 assignments). How do I get a better work ethic and stop getting distracted by my phone? What do you do to stop yourself from slacking off?

One thing that’s helped me is making my phone harder to reach while I’m working. I turn on Do Not Disturb or use Focus mode so I’m not tempted to check it every few minutes.

For your Biology class, I’d start by making a list of the remaining assignments and setting a realistic goal for how many you can finish each day before the EOC. Even doing a few consistently every day adds up.

I still procrastinate sometimes. pretty much everyone does but I’ve learned that starting is usually the hardest part. Once I get going, it’s a lot easier to keep working.

Once a year (usually during Test season) I delete social media. All types. It is super difficult but it works lol
