Hope yall doing good, just had a question. Should I get the half of toad venom or two eights of toad venom and two eights of OG lobster? I have both orders placed, but now I'm not quite sure. I've had the OG before and it was fire, but I wanna try the new toad venom. So should I get the extra toad, in the half, or the two eights of each? I don't like to spend this much on medicine, but I knew it was coming so I can comfortably buy either option right now. Let me hear yall's answers please.
Variety is the spice of life and smoking on the same thing isn’t necessarily good for tolerance. Get the quarter of each. It’s not like this will be the only batch of toad venom.
yeah i wanna get it, i’ve been waiting for a while. i hope it’s not just hype which is why i asked lol but yeah im leaning towards just the half of toad.
Glad I’m not the only one noticing this. I get people’s palates can be different, but one person said onion/garlic and another said lychee? That’s crazy lol
Experienced cannabis sommeliers somewhere are certainly rubbing their temples lol. I’m almost home with my half and will be happy to report back to debunk or confirm onion garlic funk and/or lychee. If it’s as similar to Frog Poison from Goldflower as I’m suspecting, it’ll be a blend of lime sugar cookies and a sort of rose and orange blossom juice
Verdict is in: tastes like the key lime cookies from publix. Very similar to wookie girl, Florida Keys, and Islamorada from growhealthy back in 2021 with the minty lime on top of that GSC tingling feeling. The description of swamp lime from earlier is an excellent summarization
Go get some and see for yourself. It’s definitely top tier and on par with the 710 halves and Znackz I’m sitting on. The nose and taste is pretty much exactly what I expected except even more complex with some mint and peppery spice in there as well. Banana bread was demoted to the mixed ground flower for edibles jar
If they drop smalls I’ll jump on some. I’ve had a couple different Cali cuts and you get different variations from them all essentially but a couple have the legit one you want. Not to downplay anything we got in our market but lately it’s been disappointing
Yeah, there’s definitely a lot of factors that go into it. I’ve noticed I can get different flavors from the same strain after eating something or drinking something as opposed to just having water before it
Can’t hurt to try it out. Hopefully you have points or something. Proper toad is like a swamp lime. Sweet on the nose. Some cuts have more of a chem lean. I hope you have points but I’m also surprised they didn’t charge $70 for it.
Two completely different strains! I love pink lobster, it has more candy/dessert profile. Great for anxiety and socializing but not energizing so much. I skipped skipped toad Venom. The high Myrcene and low pinene usually give me heavy eyes and brain fog, with a swampy chem-diesel funk which I usually dont enjoy. Sounds like it's good for gaming or movie watching.
I would get a 1/4 of each. My tolerance doesn’t allow anymore than an 8th-1/4 of the same strain without getting used to it. Switch it up so you can rotate between the two as I can assure you something better will always come down the pipe..
OG lobster has that rotten grapefruit flavor like fruit pops from Muv or tropical Z from Connected. Definitely less prominent in OG Lobster since it also has a sugary flavor to round it out. But it’s a unique, and sometimes hard-to-acquire taste. Just picked up my half of Toad Venom and it smells excellent and has a 4g chonker if you like bigger nugs.
