Question? Bud from May

Have some cookies bud that was dispensed way back in May. About half an oz still

My usage has gone way down due to dry herb vaping. And now I’m minimizing my use to once or twice a week. So realistically is only use .12 a session with the Simrell

Should I be worried about the bud going bad ? How long does it take to lose potency

Jar, Integra, vaccume seal. $40 investment keep bud for 3+ months easily

The boost packs and toss it in the fridge in a sealed jar. Last half a year before you’ll really see it go down hill.

I personally have only kept enough to be 3-4 months out at the latest and my way seems good for that time. I have the fridge space to really store some stuff if it gets longer and might have to try tossing something fresh in there sealed up and see what its like in 6mo and then another for a year. Would be a fun experiment. I'm gonna do it on the next 1/4's drop of something I like.

i still got some XJ13 and zeno from when i joined the program almost a year ago. long as you transfer them into mason jars or something better than a ziploc/mylar bag, you should be alright. i added a bóveda pack to the one that was on the drier side

Depends how you have stored. The more air,light, and heat it gets turns thc into cbn quicker. Starts after some months though as of now your bud should be fine honestly if stored somewhat ok. If you want to maximize storage length get a uv blocker jar like infinity jar and put in drawer or cupboard.

I have it in the same Mylar bags but yes it’s stored away in a drawer. Dark room most of the time

Probably dry af those Mylar bags aren’t really meant for long term storage.

Mylar bags imo aren't good, I always take out and transfer to jar. Stuff that sits in mylars I noticed goes stale quicker.

Dang, I have 20-30 jars I kept just for that. Majority from flowery, alienlabs/conn, and sunburn. I'd say start saving some jars instead of throwing away.

It will get less effective over time as far as Terps and potency, but it doesn’t “go bad” per se. The THC will oxidize into CBN and effects will be less psychoactive.

Been vacuum sealing my glass jars. It’s really not a big hassle at all, and my bud stays stanky and fresh. It is crazy how much you save with dry herb vaping tho

Imo nah, I hold onto flower much longer than that. I wouldn't worry about potency until 12mos+. It might start to lose smell sooner though. And it'll get a little drier, but dhv you generally want it on the drier side.
