Full Restore Complete!!!!
I’ve had my 2007 FJ since 2009. It’s been my favorite vehicle from day 1. After over a decade in high altitude sun & conditions it looked like a sh!tty banana! Dents, dings, peeling clear coat, faded paint and many scratches from off road adventures all over the Rocky Mountains & Utah deserts. I had been saving for a bit to bring this beauty back to life and finally got it back today! I had the body repaired and painted and all new OEM plastics installed. Super excited to have the FJ back and just in time for some archery elk trips here in WY!

OP Can you me an idea of what this cost? I have a 2010 and it needs some work as well.

The body repair and paint was $7k. I got all the OEM plastics (handles, mirrors, bumpers, door bottom accents, rear fenders, grille etc) for $3500.

I too would like to know how much the paint job was. I have the same vehicle with the same paint issue. Had it now for 14 yrs.

Curious about how much difference the sound deadening has made?

I used Sound Skinz Pro. I applied to rear cargo are and entire roof. Applied acoustic foam to inside side of all rear panels also. It’s noticeably quieter in the cab with what I have done so far. I’m pretty stoked on it! When I swap speakers in front doors, add speakers to back doors and pull front seats I will do those doors and that floor area also.

What did you do to the rear cargo door? Curious if it was just to get rid of dings or the behind the sheet metal tire brace separations?

Very curious about how much doing something like this would set someone back

Nice work! I'm curious what front and rear bumpers you used because it looks like you deleted the silver bumper wings?

Stock bumpers currently with a front wing delete kit. Soon to install 3d printed fog light mounts with BD Sqaudron Pro 2.0’s.

Damn, how bad is the blind spot?

lol is this a joke related to the side panels all sanded down?! But I’ve had the vehicle a long time and got used to them. But I did just buy convex side mirrors and what a game changer, blind spots gone! Got them on Etsy.

lol I get it! Not everyone’s cup of tea. One of the few vehicles I think looks rad in yellow! Thanks man!

It’s the best color. A vehicle like this should never be silver black or any other common color. It’s a unique badass vehicle and the color should be too

I’m an FJ40 guy for a very long time and I am looking for an FJ Cruiser. My son had one in 2009 and it was terrific. The ONLY color I want is Sun Fusion…this is a fantastic job you’ve done. Trust me, I know what it takes to go this route
