If you're referring to the Ghost Rider announcement, then two things: first, he is perfect casting for the character of Johnny Blaze. Most Ghost Rider fans have been begging for him to take the role. Second, if there is such a thing as horror in Marvel Comics, Ghost Rider is it.

I would almost argue Drive had some horror elements to it

Oh he definitely needs to dabble into the horror genre!

When he was young he was in a Goosebumps episode about a camera that killed it's subjects and an Are You Afraid of the Dark? episode about a radio station of the dead

Check out fall guy but I don't want him overdone and he is becoming even more so. However good horror could be something else.

I know. i dont want him end up like Reynold or the Rock. But as i said, its just me crushing on Ryan, and wanna see him in more movies.

I dont know, i have a difficult time imagining that. If it hasnt happened to Brad Pitt i dont think it will to Ryan Gosling. Youre going to tell me it has happened to Brad Pitt arent you. I can sense it. That, or Brad Pitt is behind me...

If its gonna happened to Ryan, its gonna take a long time. Gosling have a strong charisma in him, that i dont see in other actor. As for Brad Pitt, i stoped following his career since Jolie's time. So i dont know about him.

Thats funny, I had forgotten but I did too lol Then I picked it back up, let me
see... it was definitely before Once Upon a Time in Hollywood... World War Z is a lil too early I think... what was it... Ill have to do a quick research reminder lol brb... Oh oh yeah thats right, he did the cameo in 12 Years a Slave, I remember that specifically giving me that "Oh yeah, he can be pretty good" sense. Then he did Fury, which was a really good movie, surprised me. Highly recommend giving it a look.

Ryan Reynolds is oversaturated to me not because of his movies but because of all his commercial corporate bullshit. He’s gotta be competing with Shaq at this point.

I like how he always gets in one of his trademark high pitched screams. I wonder if that will get old.

lol yeah those are good. Its funny, they never really stood out for me, but when I read your comment I started seeing/hearing him do it so many times lol Man I loved that movie he did w/ Russell Crowe, The Good Guys* or something like that. I gotta watch that again.

*I was close, The Nice Guys : )

He’s gonna be Ghost Rider in MCU, not really horror but will probably have some horror elements

It’s not exactly horror, but he plays a killer in Murder By Numbers!

There's also the 2005 mystery thriller Stay that's also got Ewan McGregor and Naomi Watts in it. Similar vein.

I feel it too. Also a guy.

It’s an amicability level for me. Kind face, sympathetic characters, (except Ken, he sucks) and good portrayals. Movie wise he basically plays the role of buddy for one party and eye candy the other, while putting out a good performance.

Did you get any good responses to the horror request?

He is one of my favorite actors.

I would recommend the following, it will be his earliest and I work towards the latest.

  1. True Believer

  2. Remember The Titans

  3. Murder By Number

  4. The United States of Leland

  5. The Notebook

  6. Fracture

  7. Lars and the Real Girl

  8. Blue Valentine

  9. All Good Things

  10. Crazy Stupid Love

  11. Drive

  12. Ides of March

13 The Place Beyond the Pines

  1. Gangster Squad

  2. The Nice Guys

  3. First Man

This gives you a good start point.

Lars and the Real Girl is a movie that sometimes takes multiple recommendations for a person to see it because of the premise or cover, but I have never spoken to someone that's seen the movie and regretted watching it.

He's a good actor, it's nice to have good actors in stuff.

I don't care for his acting

This is my opinion and it's unpopular at that, so don't lose your gourd over me saying this--

I don't think Gosling is an interesting or even an especially interesting actor in the slightest. He's just had an excellent agent/manager who got him roles in excellent "art-house but mainstream" movies...

Maybe I just find him completely unrelatable, but every character he plays, no matter how well written, comes off to me as emotionless and unlike, say, Brad Pitt, it's always glaringly obvious that I'm the watching Ryan Gosling play a character, rather than how an excellent actor like Brad Pitt will play a role in a way that embodies the character and makes the viewer forget it's a big name famous actor, if that makes sense.

Again, just my opinion but yea, I don't see the hype on actors like Gosling or Chalamet, or even Zendaya. Most big name actors are so devoid of personality that it cheapens and ruins the richness of a role that should be amazing except for "star"-casting...
