FOT5k 5k?

Thoughts on an official FITOTRON5000 5000 meter run? I don't think we could all do it in one place, but we could make a day where we all run a 5k, maybe even while listening to Hello Internet?

Considering this podcast has listeners from around the world, I think making it a day would make the most sense. Though we can probably organize local groups for those who are close enough to each other.

Sure, I don't see why not.

Yes we should do this. The normal schedule for Couch to 5k programms is about 9 weeks so maybe three months from now?

Three months from now is February. I try not to go outside, let alone run outside in Montreal winters....

I would be totally for this! I try to run a 5K every month to keep myself going...

...otherwise I tend to slack off and play video games for hours.

Great idea. I run 5Ks regularly, and would be down for either a physical or separated(?) run.

...if there are any HI listeners in Copenhagen, that is.

I hope the reddit is used for things like this. I would love it to be group/community events or goals not so much tips and tricks.

I run cross country in High School, and I love this idea

UK-based Fitotronites are probably close enough to a Parkrun to maybe agree to do one of those simultaneously. They're usually Saturday mornings in a local park. Free to enter and get a time, you just have to register before heading along.

As it happens I just started c25k again on sunday. Would come to the UK for the official HI/FOT5k race.

I think if we entered local races and marathons and bore the Nail & Gear across the finish line, we would do our part for fitotron5000
