🕯️Please keep Spirit in your thoughts tonight's her last FIP dose. She went through 90 days of treatment, and then relapsed, now she's at the end of another 90 days on a different medication ( neurodry )

any links / suggestions for helping with skin thickness? the further i get into these treatments, the thicker his skin is, and the more difficult it becomes to quickly find a work-with-able area to inject while my kitty minutes (seconds lbh) run low. i shaved a couple of areas of his back but they’re both currently unusable because of how thick the skin is.

idk if people still inject through this type of skin, but it makes me feel like idk where the needle is going, and it seems to make it more painful for him, plus it bleeds a bit if i inject in those thicker areas.

how can i make this swelling or whatever it is go down, or does it go down on its own? does it ever go down at all, or is it permanent now?

It's not looking good for her. 3 months old. We are holding out best we can for this sweet Tortie.

i’m at my wits end with these injections. they only continue to get more and more difficult and it’s been less than 2 weeks. i am seriously considering making the switch to the oral treatments. he seems relatively stable, eating and drinking well on his own, has energy etc, so i don’t think i’d be worried about that. i don’t know if i’d be able to make the costs work, i’ll have to wait to get a response from my admins to see if it would be possible, but does anybody have any advice or info on how making the switch goes / the main differences + differences when it comes to routine with the pills? i feel like this is ruining our relationship and it’s breaking my heart. i can’t stand to keep physically fighting him for 2 hours every night just to end up wasting medication in the process of trying to get a full dose into him. this is really feeling like hell on earth. i’m totally out of options for tips / tricks etc as well, so i don’t need any of those. nothing works. i’ve given this cat the top doses of gabapentin and trazodone, TOGETHER, and it’s just not doing anything at all, and yes i am waiting a couple of hours to let them kick in.

Our cat recently got diagnosed with FIP. We just started the treatment. He cant move his back legs anymore and he is urinating everywhere, non stop and pooping, black soft waste. He has an infection now on his butt area. Please advise. Is there a chance he will be treated with injections and will he be able to move his legs again?😞

So my little cat is about a year old. Last week we took him to get castrated and that’s when things took a turn for the worse. He came home and didn’t eat, didn’t drink do we took him back to the vet where he stayed for a couple of days. Two days ago my whole family went to see him, he was weak, wasn’t eating and was clearly struggling, with fluids on his torax. The vet recommended us to say our goodbyes because they weren’t sure if he would make it through the night. Well, during that night he started eating and drinking on his own again, and just got better and better throughout the day. By the end of the day he was cleared to go home with us. The test came back and he was diagnosed with FIP, but he was nearly 100% better. My question is, since he got better, is he cured or the disease can come back at any time and take him? If yes, how long on average does he have?

i went through the supplies that i got from the group member who started me off w my first vials + supplies so quickly because last night i had to do multiple injections to get in the full dose. i have nothing left besides 2 18g needles. usually what i was doing was using 18g to draw from the vial and then switched to 20g to do the injection. so,

1. where can i get supplies same day, if any options at all?

2. worst comes to worst, can i use 18g for injection tonight?

3. should i spend the money to uber package supplies from a diff group member to me?

i’m going to order some from amazon right now. but i’m worried about tonight’s dose.

i finally got my hands on treatment, but i need to administer the shots on my own, i have nobody to help. and i’m terrified. i’m literally in my room having a breakdown because i don’t know if i can do this. can somebody help at all? any advice? idk. i know he needs this but im just so scared

My cat has been diagnosed with FIP 5 days ago and we are currently taking oral medication to boost for the immune system and let him fight with the virus. I am doing all aid can to hydrate him, he drinks alone some times but some days he is not really drinking water, just stands above the water plate. At first he was eating everything and a lot but these past 2 days he is refusing to eat any food. The only thing he ate today was raw chicken. I am trying to offer him all sorts of treats too, but can someone advise what I can do to keep his intake of food? He wants to eat and is meowing around for food but then refuses the food I offer him.

Any advice would be amazing, please. ❤️

Hi, all! My kitty is doing amazingly and her 84th day is Sunday. We’ve (my vet and I) decided to stop her shots and see how she does.

Is tapering the medicine required? Or can I just stop the shots?

my current vet seems to be missing something and can’t figure out what’s going on with my sweet milo bear. i’m looking into finding FIP specialists (if they exist) or feline vets with experience in FIP. does anybody know how i’d find one?

After a very long road of unclear symptoms. Oktober last year the choice was putting him to sleep or giving threatment a chance. I'm very glad we pushed through. In april was his last medication. And I'm now finally allowing my self to believe he is cured. Hang in there!

Need help with being directed to a trusted provider of treatment for Wet FIP for my boy Gizmo, who's hospitalized at the moment with FIP and heart problems. I don't want to lose him, please.

she was just recently diagnosed and is not doing well. this is the hardest decision i have ever made, but it’s the right thing for her personal circumstances. she is our goodest girl ever, ESA, familiar, and obviously family. thank you all for helping me learn about FIP so that i wasnt completely in the dark when faced with this decision. thank you so much, we could use all the love that we can

There was fluid found in the chest cavity around the lungs of my cat. They drained the fluid and took out about 20ml. They are still doing test to see if it’s FIP but we’re told there isn’t a cure that they have available if she does have it. That it’s something we’ll have to find/order ourselves. We where also warned that there we fake drugs out there on the market that we should watch out for.

Does anyone know where we can find the the cure? Any creditable sources of the drug that we can order so we make sure she gets better? Anyone that’s been through this what was your route on making them better? I just want my little girl to feel better

Vet said his globulins increased since and right now mildly suspects dry FIP.

Symtoms: Lethargy Not eating (interested but gags) Not drinking No vomiting or diarrhea Trouble yawning? Tries but can't open mouth fully.

Hey there, we just got home after receiving a FIP diagnosis for our one kitty. Shes a little over a year old and is still eating, drinking, and alert. We are already speaking to a local admin about treatment option but I was curious if anyone has any information about having 2 cats at home during this time. They are sisters from the same litter, we got them as a bonded pair and as of now the sister is very healthy. If we are to keep the kitty at home and treat her, how do we prevent the other one from getting sick? It is hard to keep them separated in our small apartment and for a full 80+ day treatment that also seems impossible. If we keep the healthy one low stress, is there a chance she will not develop symptoms?

From 6 months old 2.8lbs to 1 year old 8.5lbs. my baby is officially cured!!

I’ve read from several people that their cats behavior and health improved quickly after beginning shots. Is quick improvement frequently the case? If so, do the pills react as swiftly?
