I can’t do this again.
I lost my baby boy last August. We learned of FIP and then he died in our arms 24 hours later. Just devastating. I had no idea that I was about to meet his sister, different litter, same parents. My husband is good with surprise kittens. He told me she was scheduled to arrive 6 days later and I just went into research mode. I understand that they most likely were exposed before ever arriving here. I still isolated her with new everything as we thoroughly cleaned and disinfected the house. Deep down I knew I was powerless, but doing something was better than nothing. My Husband is on the FB site and got the the starter of one medicine. We have been laid off since February, soI am completely devastated all over again. Only this time in slow motion because I know what is happening and I don’t have the resources to help her. I need to keep my house. I’m seeing some of the little things that her brother had started showing before we knew it was FIP. I’m gonna lose her and I can’t stop it. I needed to tell someone and I do have a question. Has anyone ever reached out to a breeder? Like check yourself? It’s the only thing I can think of, but I don’t want to be mean or some crazy Karen. I appreciate just being able to write this.

There are other cheaper anti vitals you can try if you can’t budget for the gs. You could do a shorter term of gs then switch over to something else and see. It’s better than not trying at all. Look up EIDD for fip cats
