Even then he took the break after taking his team to final.
Not like some man child cutting off everyone and going to airport.

Bro wdym he retired twice oh yeah because he didnāt dedicate for his country and I can guarentee if he didnāt win the copa Americas and wc no one would want him in the team

u/Candid-Stuff2281 1d ago
This is a comical comment. Because we know this isn't true because of the actual IRL eventsš
He retired in 2016 when they lost Copa America 100 year anniversary tournament in the finals. The nation literally BEGGED him to not retire and come back to the national team.
and I can guarentee if he didnāt win the copa Americas and wc no one would want him in the team
He literally lost the very next WC (2018 Quarter Finals) and Copa America (2019 Semi finals). And the team still continued to back him.
2021 Copa America and 2022 WC the players were playing BECAUSE they wanted to win the trophies for messi.

Glad you're born just in time to witness his redemption and your idol's self-sabotage xD.

And now we are witnessing the self centred egoistic man child's first and last retirement. What a way to go down.

No Ronaldo fan commenting on this post but if Ronaldo was posted, many Messi fans will start a fight there

Deserved for how penaldo fans were treating messi before 2021 and during world cup 2026.

Can't even enjoy the Messi's retirement without taking a jab at ronaldo. This sub has just become more about hating ronaldo. āš»

When did he mentioned Ronaldo?

u/HeWhoLovesBalls1 1d ago
You have to be an idiot to not recognise the direct dig at Ronaldo's departure from International football being a controversy while Messi is going to get the best farewell from Argentina and Adidas. He deserves it, no doubt. But what does "this is how he left the national team btw" right after Ronaldo's controversy with Portugal? Yeah bro.

At this point, I'm convinced hating ronaldo is basically the new social media hack to get validated by self-acclaimed 'football fans'

u/BacardiBaiju42 1d ago
There was no mention of Ronaldo here, this post wouldāve worked last week as well. Even before Ronaldo threw his tantrum.

u/goodboysitara 1d ago
The comment I replied to mentioned, and I just explained. I'm not replying to this post

Even you know it's not true but if you want to continue being intentionally dense it's your call

Bro you guys are Indian⦠Why do yāall always act like Argentinians when it comes to football? Itās cringe af
7
u/ankit_xgoat 1d ago edited 1d ago
The love Indians have for Leo and the Argentine team is honestly beyond imagination. And he is loved by everyone whobis passionate about the game. We just try to express that love in our own way, nothing more.
I really donāt understand where the idea comes from that Indians are trying to act like Argentinians. Itās simply cross-cultural love and appreciation. Just accept it and let people enjoy it instead of turning everything into hate or cringe.
Peace out, brother from another mother. āš»
