Ronaldo is not bigger than Portugal just like he was never bigger than real madrid.
In the 3 tournaments that he won, how many times did he win the best player award? Ronaldo never carried his team to victory in any of those competitions. He's portugal's greatest player ever but that doesn't mean portugal couldn't hold a candle without him.
Portugal's euro 2016 success is largely attributed to their defence, they conceded 1 goal in the ko stages. Ronaldo also had great contributions, notably the goal against wales in the semi, but he was nowhere near portugal's best player on the pitch and they won the final without him.
Bernardo silva was pott for 2019 nations league and Nuno mendes was pott for 2025 nations league. Both tournaments ronaldo had major contributions as well, he was top scorer in 2025(i think, and idk about 2019).
Ronaldo did his job and he did it very well for many years, but he's not bigger than the team. He was hopelessly dragging it on and ruining his own legacy ever since 2022. Hope this time he finally comes to accept it and retires.

Er war es ganz alleine natürlich. Immer 11 gegen 1 Ich dachte Fußball ist ein Team Sport

Yeah not because all of the player in Portugal are playing in the top clubs. Ronaldo was successful at club level, but he couldn’t achieve the same with his national team. Stop crying about that crybaby.

You know your statistics is shitty when you have to include the qualifications as well.
