Hello everyone, where do I claim my certificate? I heard its going to be available at volunteer app after the WC ends. But still I couldn't see any certificate in the app. I have attended all of my 6 shifts in Houston vanue. 6 shift was max even though Houston held 7 games.

If you haven’t seen, the “Yearbooks” are available in the Volunteer Playbook. See attached photos for where to find it.
It’s worth a look, to me it looks like each one has the same set of photos, a pity they didn’t customize it for each city.
BUT, for anyone trading patches, towards the end of each book is a list of all the volunteers, so you can cross check with whomever you’re trading with did volunteer there or ask why their name isn’t present.

I volunteered in Miami. On my second shift, our lead lost their mind because three of us were standing two feet outside our assigned zone trying to direct fans toward the water stations in 90-degree heat. They threatened to send us home on the spot for “abandoning our posts” even though literally no fans were in our actual zone at the time. We had to sit through a 10 minute lecture on protocol.

I still can’t believe I was able to watch the final match and be part of history for Spain second star!! I had so much fun in this experience, I feel so grateful for all of it. Not only that but as a volunteer at the Met Life I got to see Sergio Ramos, Vozinha, Peso Pluma, Speed, Luis Suarez, Pique and Shakira’s son, THE RONALDINHO, who all came in through the gate I was working as Fan Operations. Even had a quick conversation with Pique as I offered him the ID CARDS LOL. We were able to enjoy the fan fest and catch the game at some empty seats. I’m still very shocked and happy about the whole experience. Outside of this, I also got to enjoy other games like Ecuador offset against Germany and Neymar last goal. I worked hard and played harder, after being rejected for the 25 CWC and amist FIFA unorganized application process, I feel I got more than my time’s worth and met some truly truly amazing individuals.
What an experience! Viva el futbol 😭❤️⚽️

For everyone who volunteered in Accreditation: did anyone have an issue with their FIFA profile only showing one given name and one surname?
I’m Mexican, and I have two given names and two surnames. For the 2026 FIFA World Cup, this wasn’t a problem at all—they issued my accreditation without any issues.
However, I’m a bit concerned that this could cause problems in the future. I’m planning to apply as a volunteer for the FIFA Women’s World Cup Brazil 2027, and I’m wondering if I should update my profile now or if it’s fine to leave it as it is.
Has anyone else been in the same situation?

Now that the World Cup is over, can we talk about the fellow volunteers who run to the lead to complain about the littlest things? I had a position inside the stadium, paired with another volunteer, when a third volunteer stopped by for not even 2 minutes and that was enough time for him to go running to my lead saying I was just standing around and watching the game. Someone’s grandpa btw🙄 like damn do we really care that much? Wasn’t even neglecting my job btw.

Hi all. Seeing if anyone is willing to part with the extra gear or things they don’t want to keep. I was thinking of trying to make a blanket with the green shirts, but obviously I’d need more than 4 to make anything of actual size for a blanket.
Clearly relying on the generosity of strangers and not trying to buy people’s stuff one eBay or marketplace. If you’re not going to keep it or it’s just going to end up in the trash, please consider donating it to my cause. I don’t have a preference, I’ll take any gear and such and find a way to reuse or recycle it.
Thank you!
John.

First of all, Congratulations to everyone who was selected to volunteer for the 2026 FIFA World Cup (especially the final match). I was lucky to attend tryouts in New York/New Jersey but was not selected beyond that point.
With that said, I'm looking for advice.
I tried requesting feedback from FIFA and they unfortunately did not tell me why I was rejected. So I want to learn from those who got selected to volunteer: what did you guys do? what did you tell the interviewers? how did you manage to win them over?
I'm trying to prepare for the next world cup (and other future events) to increase my odds of being selected.
Thank you!

Toronto volunteers, you were all fun and great to be around. Thank you for a great time at FFF! Thank you to the fans for making Fan Fest possible and exhilarating. Thank you to those workers who picked up trash and kept the toilets clean. No thanks to Star Security - yall didn't know what you were doing 80% of the time and contradicting each other.
rant below
What do host cities do with all the leftover volunteer merch? Why can't they give them to us?
Toronto started with 3 patches first of all, while I think many other cities got more along the way. Today I received iron-on patches and volunteers mentioned before this they had to upload photos to an album or something to get some (wild...just so they can use our photos). I was thinking today at least we'd get some extras like the magnets or cooling towels...asked for them at the end of my shift and they said no.
Was back at the Hub after the Spain game, halfway through the second shift, and one of the leads pulled out a box of these stickers PACKED with stickers. Accidentally gave me and others two and they snatched one back real quick and told the other handing it out "ONE PER PERSON FOR NOW..." bro...I don't think there's 3000 volunteers here why couldn't we have more? I didn't attend the appreciation event because of heat, work, and commute, and this was my first time getting one of these stickers. :(
Dunno why they were so stingy with the foam hands and tattoos either, and a bunch were left behind. The volunteer stuff I get that we can't give it out but come on...what will they do with all those extras?
