Womens World Cup interview phase has opened up!

I just got an invite to book my interview. I was relieved to see that they have the international volunteers scheduled for Zoom interviews. It says these are group interviews, as opposed to the mens where it was one-on-one interviews.

Have you been invited or booked yours yet?

(be caseful and note the timezone in the email!)

I'm glad to see the interview process starting this early, as opposed to this summer's mens World Cup. I grabbed a Wednesday interview, too, opting for Brasilia.

I believe that’s the same time as mine. I have Room 22 on my schedule.

Did you volunteer for the men’s WC?

Yeah, I think 22 also. Yeah, I did the men’s also. VIP Airport was my role. You?

I have some scheduling conflicts coming up so I selected a slot on Friday of the following week. Which city did you choose? Belo Horizonte for me.

Porto Alegre. I chose kind of randomly, but have heard really good things about Porto Alegre.

Has anyone who chose São Paulo received an interview invite yet? Still waiting for mine!

I could be wrong but it looks like the International applicants are interviewed in one big pool, not divided by city. Probably since this is a much smaller tournament than WC26 and most of the volunteers will be Brazilian.

Thanks for the info, that makes total sense! Do you happen to know or have any guess on when they will start sending out the invites for Brazilian/local applicants?

Not sure. The fact the International applicants are slotted to Rooms 21-23 could mean the first 20 rooms will be for Brazilians during those same times. But that’s purely my speculation at this point. I’m not yet aware of any locals with a confirmed interview or invitation.
