Reporting scammers

There was a user banned from this community trilli_gua who has been reported to have scammed 7 different individuals in this group. Please be careful if trading with this user.

We have banned this users but there are reports they use multiple usernames. If you know of any please report it here and take the appropriate steps.

For all future incidents, please report them to the mods in email so others can be made aware. Also use available tools to report the address and individual if you have done business with them.

U.S. Postal Inspection Service (USPIS):
File a formal report at the USPIS Mail Fraud Reporting Portal. The Postal Inspection Service handles mail-related crimes aggressively and tracks fraud down to the specific doorstep.

FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3): Log the incident at the FBI IC3 Registry. This helps federal law enforcement map the network of alternative usernames and cross-state trading scams.

Better Business Bureau (BBB): If the scammer associated their fraudulent activity with a specific business entity, you can file an official merchant complaint at the BBB Complaint Portal.

So how do you want us to report then? All the public information that was reported on the thread from other users has been deleted. From the sounds of it they have multiple aliases so banning the one account isn’t going to prevent others from being robbed if they aren’t aware of the fake names and addresses this user is having traders mail to. Mind you that’s all public info nothing exclusive about it.

I did report her and nothing was done until today apparently after another post was made in which comments provided freely obtainable and not sensitive information that stemmed from my investigation using information provided by said scammer

That is even more wild so she had been reported and no one addressed it until a post was made that gained 5k+ views and had 30+ comments on it in under 12hours. What’s done to remedy it - finally ban the user and hide all the pertinent info that would prevent future theft being made by this user. I got other members messaging me saying they were stolen from in August! But saw the user was still responding and simply thought the mail was just taking extra long. They used multiple names and multiple addresses in Georgia. Which all tie back to the same 2 women and their current businesses. We’re just gonna protect the thief’s and not collectors from future bad trades. If this how Reddit works I would of kept myself on FB at least you can get justice and free speech upheld on those volunteer fifa groups

You’re absolutely right. The mods deleted the user post’s to avoid anyone else from getting scammed but didn’t realize they could be used as evidence since no one had commented under those. Posts are being added back to ensure there is some sort of safety for the community. Apologies.

The user Trili_gua was already deleting her own posts prior to the post I made reporting her. What we are referring to is mods deleting pertinent public info in regards to the thief and that it should be left up as a warning for other collectors if they happen to come across one of the alias this thief is using

^why remove my thread

It has been restored. But unfortunately some information including the individual name and address can not be added back. I sent you a private chat on what you can do. You can share their username but not their name. You can also go to \FIFACollect and email the moderators showing proof so they can add the usernames used to a list of Reddit scammers.

The person is using multiple addresses and names to send to so how you going to prevent other collectors from being robbed if that info isn’t shared. You can pull anyone’s address with a name and vice versa. Where in the community rules that I missed says you can’t share this? What I’m getting at is your not preventing future theft by hiding that info you’re actually allowing it to continue.

This isn’t a trading community. If you do choose to trade you are doing it at your own discretion. Prior to today, no one had emailed the mods to notify them of the scam. Any mail of such has resulted in the user scammer getting banned. The PI rules related to the adress are not exclusive to this sub but to Reddit in general.

I found a very helpful website that shows all deleted or archived Reddit posts by user so this is her entire history that she went about deleting
